5 star
These have been wonderful. I have 2 blind senior chihuahuas who get lost in the backyard, even on leashes. My mom and I are disabled so walking with them was hard on us, too. We got these to mark their pathway straight from the back door across the cement patio into a section of cleared out garden bed that Mom named "The Chihuahua Potty Pit." These freestanding fences are balanced and stable enough that my larger dogs cannot knock them over, but lightweight enough that it is easy for me to move one to open like a gate for larger dogs to pass and go out into the yard to run and do their business. When storms roll through, the wind doesn't knock these over. On one occasion, one fence was knocked over by a patio chair that the 45mph gusts of wind took for a ride across the patio. Fairly easy assembly, too. requires some tools, though.

Pricey, but great product!
Very easy to assemble and looks great around our pool. Keeps our little dog out of the pool, yet it is easy to step over. No need to put holes in the concrete and we can quicly remove them if have a poolside or backyard gathering. We purchased 4 sets, all are connected to make one long fence. Looks great, and so far has not tipped over on a windy day. We were previously using those metal pet playpens to fence off our pool, but they began to rust and the rain washed the rust all over our concrete. We will probably purchase a few more so we can rearrange differently in the future, but for now we are very happy with our purchase.

Works well but blows over in wind
Looks good, easy to assemble. Only problem is it blows into our pool with a gust of wind. Getting some small sand bags to see if that helps.

Good idea. Poor quality.
I purchased used set and so many pieces were broken. Of the 3 sets I could have maybe created one section. Yes it was return but I can see how these could easily be damaged and just wouldn't last. In the end I purchased the black metal fence panels and had a welder created bases. I can move them and have a gate which is why I was looking at these and they are far more durable. Great idea just missed the mark.

Absolutely great portable fence
Very sturdy and easy to put together. My baby fence did not allow for the use of the newly installed puppy door leaving a 3ft gap. Impossible these days to have a company do small jobs eek. Using for my dogs around my pool. Will anchor in spots just to feel safe as they have access all the time, but the panels are very secure. Slowly taking the baby fence down as my budget allows as I love the way it looks better.

Blowing in the wind
This product looks nice and is fairly well constructed. The main problem I’ve noticed is stability in outdoor use. The manual indicates that the included silicon pads are for indoor use. But without the pads the fence sections tend to wobble—even on a concrete surface. Optional rubber feet or some type of self leveling or adjustable foot would be helpful but none are included or optional. Perhaps the included silicon pads would work outside but the manual seems to discourage this. The wobbly nature of the fence section is complicated further by the fact that they are unstable in even a light wind. We use our fence to block the shallow end of a pool to keep our dog from constantly swimming. But the fence keeps falling into the pool. It’s light weight design is handy for moving the fence but even a 15 mph breeze will knock it over. And the fence U-links don’t seem to add stability. Rather they cause multiple section to topple together. Needless to say, the fence spends more time swimming that the dog. This brings me to a second criticism. The website suggests that the fence should only be used with small dogs. Yet the advertising material and the Amazon page itself depict what appears to be a large Lab seated behind the fence. Clearly, that constitutes a large dog and gives the impression that the fence can be used with larger breeds. It’s a cute picture but I’m afraid it’s somewhat misleading or at least inconsistent. One last point. Although assembling the fence is straightforward, the pickets required quite a bit or force to insert into the fence assembly. Yet the manual indicates that assembly requires no force and even notes that force should not be used. Perhaps that language should be changed or the pickets redesigned.

Great product! Easy to assemble
I have small elderly dogs who kept falling in the pool because of bad eyesight. I looked everywhere for a solution and found this on Amazon, I bought a few boxes to try out. It was easy to assemble, straight forward and is exactly what I need. I put together 8 boxes of these by myself. I am a very dainty woman and I managed to do this alone. Anyone can put it together. Looks good around my pool and does the job. Glad I found this product!

Well made but instructions are terrible! I have suggestions that may help you below
This is a revision to my initial 5 star review! All the pieces might make you think assembly will be onerous but I timed the second panel at 15 minutes and I was still consulting the instructions. I eventually bought enough panels to enclose our 20 X 40 pool (17 kits) but afterwards discovered their suggestion NOT to install the included pads under the feet for use outside is WRONG. Slight wind blows the light fence panels several FEET -not inches - so I will now have FAR more difficulty installing them to HOPEFULLY add friction to keep the sections from moving on the brick deck. I DOUBT it will stop it completely. See attached photo of this VERY light fence after mild wind gusts. One other MISTAKE in the instructions (and my suggested change) is Step 3.1. They say to insert the pickets and show a diagram of doing it through the top slot first. It would be VERY difficult due to the tabs on the pickets to lock them into the bottom slot. I inserted them UP through the top rail and then DOWN into the bottom rail slots where they lock. This made it Very EASY. Even their video shows them being inserted DOWN through the top slot first. That would be almost impossible for the ones I received whose top slot was the same size as the bottom slot. And one final (an MAJOR) oversight in the instructions (but NOT a design flaw in the product) is that there is NO mention of securing the small connectors which hold the fence panels together. They simply drop in but there is a hole in each one that can serve to secure it but the instructions make no mention of it! Once I saw the wind move these light fence panels several feet and realized these connectors would be useless if they had moved the other direction (into the pool) which would have allowed the fence sections to drop down releasing the unsecured connectors I decided I would have to secure them and also how useless the entire fence would be if I lost a few of the connectors. I recommend you buy some 18 gauge stainless steel wire and use the hole in the connector pins to secure them to each fence. 16 gauge will work but I found it hard to install. Otherwise the small connector pins could easily be lost if the fence were knocked over destroying its integrity until they were replaced and the company charges an absurd $2.56 per pin plus $6 shipping. I need to remove one panel to remove our pool cleaner so I secured the pins at the top and bottom on the SAME side there but everywhere else I secured the pins alternating at the top of one panel and the bottom pin of the adjacent panel to prevent the fence from coming apart when it is blown into the pool. I bought 4 spare connector pins as back-up but HOPE I will never need them if the stainless wire holds. Amazon sells a spool with 100 feet of 18 gauge stainless wire for about $10 which should be enough for all 68 pins or if cost is no object Zippity sells pre-cut wire for $.72 each (almost $50 for 68) but again NO MENTION is made of this in the instructions I received with any of the 17 kits I bought. I still like the fencing but have to admit I am taken aback by the company's pricing of these tiny parts and apparently no idea how the product should be used as indicated by the woefully inadequate instructions. If I had known what I know NOW it would have been EASY to install the rubber pads and secure the connector pins with wire during initial assembly but NOW I will have a much harder time correcting all the mistakes in their instructions. Hopefully you can benefit from my experience! I still think this is the best solution to enclose our pool but i feel there is no excuse for a manufacturer not to correct inadequate instructions for an otherwise decent but expensive product. I have had to learn what I am hoping helps you the hard way. My last photo shows the fence blown into the pool after I had only secured the top pins. I went back and secured the bottom pins with the stainless wire making sure I alternately secured the opposite pins on adjacent panels. ( i.e. top pin of right panel and bottom pin of left panel) Now the fence still gets blown into the pool when it is windy but at least doesn't come apart and is far easier to restore. And my last recommendation is a tool for your drill that makes twisting the stainless wire easy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CXQ5SXPM?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2 It was under $10 when I bought it. The first tool I bought did not work for me but this one has holes for the two wire ends and works. Good luck!
