Booda No Track Litter Mat, Titanium

This litter catch tray works great. Because it is firm plastic, it is very easy to pick up and then pour all the tracked litter right back into the litter box. Because it is solid there are no crevices where litter will get stuck. So you don't have to shake it out like some softer pliable mats. That always seems like such a pain to me, more time consuming, wasteful and dusty too. Also, since it is smooth plastic, if there is a little accident, either solid or liquid, or it just gets a bit dirty, you can scrub it off and dry it very quickly and get it back down right away. Can't do that with softer pliable mats. I have had these types of litter catch trays for years, and they hold up forever, and look pretty much brand new. I only bought new ones because I added a litter box, and one of my old ones finally cracked. When I went looking for this type, couldn't find it at any of the big pet chain stores, or anywhere other than online for that matter. So now I have stocked up. Nice color too. Thanks for a great product.

I bought this with the Booda Dome because the price was right and the whole reason I wanted the Dome was to prevent litter scatter... the reviews told me it really only prevented best with this specific mat so I got the set. Glad I did. It's hefty and clean looking. I like it better than the normal scatter mats because it's so easy to clean -- just dump it in the litter box. Will update as my cat uses (regarding scatte)Update: 2018There was still some scatter though a lot less than other boxes I’ve had. This is way better than the top entry box I had for awhile (cat would jump out and get liter everywhere) and no doubt better than anything without a lid. It was a little awkward in my square-everything modern home though so I ended up selling it on offer up. I now have a closed square box that has a flap my cat goes through which I like just as much as this (though it’s much less attractive than the Booda dome). Still recommend this product.

It's sturdy so you can pick it up & dump any litter back into the box. It's not huge but works fine. Looked all over town for one that wasn't a "mat" (flimsy) but couldn't find anything so of course checked out Amazon... Good purchase. Hard to get excited about a kitty litter mat! It does it's job! :)

I did not find this mat to be helpful at all in controlling litter tracking. Perhaps it works well with the Booda litter box but if you're using any other brand, it likely will not stay in position under the box... as was the case with mine. It is thick plastic and well constructed but the small, awkward shape makes it virtually useless if you have a cat who likes to kick litter out the front entrance of their box. It basically just caused the litter to bounce off the hard plastic and go all over the floor. Also, it's not very useful in catching any litter pieces stuck to kitty's paws when exiting. Quite disappointed.

I don't have a Booda dome-type litter box, so I just placed the mat in front of the regular litter box, which is very large with a "door" cut into one end where the cats enter and depart. Two of my cats would not step on it; they leaped into and out of the box either over it or over the high side of the box -- spreading the litter even further than usual. One of them assumed that it was the "front porch" of the litter box and that he was close enough when he was standing on it to do his business right there. His brothers and sisters seemed not to appreciate that and neither did I, particularly when he urinated on it and the urine ran under the box because of the slope of the mat; if I had turned the mat around, the urine would've just flowed away from the box onto the floor anyway. Okay, so maybe I have weird cats, but the mat is now standing up behind the box until I decide what to do with it. It would work pretty well as a dish drainer, but somehow that seems totally wrong....

Our previous mat had a rougher surface intended to help "brush" the cats paws and collect more litter. But it also trapped the litter into tiny crevices making it difficult to clean. This mat seems to collect litter just fine and a mere tip upside diwn over the box returns all the litter, with no required effort to dislodge litter from crevices. We also like that it has a slight slant and backstp to trap urine for our older kitty who sometimes squats too close to the edge. Wish it slanted just a bit more or had rims on all four sides to collect the urine. Only reason I didn't give five stars. But it's not designed to collect urine - it does do a great job collecting litter as the cats leave the box.

If I were to use this litter mat with one of my  Van Ness Enclosed Cat Litter Pan  in our house, it wouldn't be quite right. But in combination with  Booda Dome Cleanstep Cat Box, Titanium  this mat is PERFECT! In fact, I find it better than any other mat that I have tried for the Cleanstep box.The mat slips right under the stairs and the lip of the box. The cats are trailing so much LESS litter using this box in combination with the mat that I am considering changing out my Van Ness boxes for these.This mat is durable, it stays "put" under the lip of the Booda Dome and it absolutely keeps litter contained. I would say that we have experienced 75% less litter trailing (we use pine litter) with the use of this mat with the Booda dome.Love it!UPDATE: I decided to change out our litter boxes for the Boodas. A LOT less stray pine pellets on the floor ... Virtually no more tracking.

I didn't encounter the disadvantages of using this litter mat, purchased because it matches my Booda Dome Litter Box, that other reviewers did but then again I often work with purchases to make them suit my purpose. This mat is solid, so it's easy to lift it and shake excess litter back into the box. I use a doubled-over piece of  NaturalAreaRug Eco Hold Rug Pad Earth Friendly Provides Extra Cushion For All Hard Surfaces of size 2' x 8. Heavier and Thicker than Most Rug Pads  on top of the mat which completely eliminates the little bit of dust that my cat might stir up while using World's Best Cat Litter. I wouldn't think of replacing it with something else, so I see no reason not to recommend this product.
