LEDinsider LED Color Changing Mood Strip w/ 4 Strip Lights

Description: (because the online description is kind of lacking)These LEDs are RGB+W color changing lights encased in silicone or something very similar. The underside is flat and has 3M peel away adhesive backing making it easy enough to attach to a clean smooth surface. The display side is rounded and clear making the circuit and cut points easy to see. The cut points are spaced 3 inches apart so shortening a strip to fit your needs is easy. There are 4 types of LEDs in each section - white(w), red(r), green(g), and blue(b) in the following order W-R-B-W-G-W. Each end of the LED strips has a female connector and each strip comes with a male to female adapter allowing you to string as many together as your power supply can handle. The included power supply has plenty of power to drive the LEDs included in the package.Included with the LED strips is a controller with a remote IR sensor and 2 LED leads. You can use either or both depending on your needs. You also get a power adaptor for home use and a simple plug for 12v battery use. Finally there is the remote. The included remote has fewer options than the upgraded remote but has some nice color change settings.Impressions:The dimming function effect maxes out at about a 40% drop in brightness in 4 button pushes. There are 18 colors to select from and 4 color change effects (there is a remote control upgrade that allows more colors and effects). The color and brightness are decent enough and I had no problems setting it up. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.If you use this in an outdoor or wet setting, use silicone sealant around the connections to keep it dry.

The new units have shown early signs of partial failure. I contacted there customer service and they have offered a complete refund. Other products of theirs have been great but I would be cautious with these.However there customer service as I mentioned below is one of the best I have ever dealt with.Update to my review. I finally contacted their customer service and they have agreed to replace everything. I will wait until I try out the new units before I change my rating but I was very impressed with their customer service which I will give ***** stars. I bought a couple of these and also the PPA LED strips. These have not stood up at all. Different sections are often different colors. Individual bulbs often come up with different colors. For example I have the lights set to blue but on a couple of strips one bulb is red. In the end every bulb was a different color, I wouldn't by these again. I would highly recommend the PPA system. They have worked so well I expanded them to my living room and the put a large number in the cabin of my boat.

This is a very cool product with endless possibilities. I built a 48" long, 2 tier glass liquor bottle shelf for my back bar. I installed these light strips under the glass to illuminate the bottles. It looks great! Some bottles light up better than others depending on the contents, glass color and light color. You can dial in a particular color or let it cycle through a range of colors. The brightness is adjustable and there is plenty of brightness with no heat given off. The remote feature is also very handy as you can "play" with the colors. There are manufacturers that make bottle displays on the web that use this exact same product and charge two hundred dollars for the light kit. I'll be buying another unit for a 2nd shelf unit as well as another to install under the front edge of my bar.

These little guys really blast out the light. I had to shield them to tone down the glare.So these aren't the ones to string on the surface of anything in a low lite room.Other than aforementioned, this was a good buy at the price they used to be. No problems with hookup or dead LED's. With the aluminum foil shield they project a nice glow. Yes, remote is handy for changing colors too.

Product took its time to arrive, but it was well worth the wait.I'm using it to light up my stereo glass case, and it looks fantastic.The thin remote works well, but the lights can be controlled by a modern unified remote such as the Harmony One! ( with a little tweaking on the setup page ).4 power settings to control the intensity of the primary lights. GGGGGGGGreat!

We originally loved this product. Now I recommend AGAINST buying it. They tell me it must be turned off with the remote, now that the power supply or controller is toast. I can't even imagine producing a device which can never be unplugged or switched off except by remote (how non-green is that?). After spending over $200 on the lighting and even more custom building indirect lighting baffles for it in the living room, the product didn't even last a month.

Creative light system. Arrived in a timely manner and in excellent condition. Easy to understand instructions. Some recommended using it for bar lighting. However, I placed the lights behind my entertainment center. It was risky buy but well worth it. It lights up the room and adds a fun element; kids like it, too.

Really cool wish strips game longer though would make it more cool they last long don't used around water or heated source
