Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk

First of all, I love this cleanser. I got a sample of it in a subscription box (Yuzen) and HAD to buy a full size option. I have combination skin with a tendency to get acne when I'm stressed, menstruating, etc. I had been having problems with fine bumps on my forehead and acne on my neck for the last few weeks and I couldn't figure out why. When I started using this cleanser I just liked it because it didn't make my skin sting and it smelled DIVINE. I was using it twice a-day, alone in the morning and used with an acne cleanser in the evening. Slowly, over weeks, the bumps and acne started to disappear. I've figured out now that I was over-exfoliating my skin and using this super gentle milk cleanser was helping hydrate and repair it. This does not have any typical acne fighting ingredients like salicylic acid, BUT I think if you're like me and already use lots of acne products it might help to have a more gentle cleanser. Sidenote: This does NOT take make-up off very easily. I only wear mascara and I have to gently scrub to get my mascara off but how hydrated my skin feels after using it makes it worth it. If you wear heavy make-up, you'll probably need a more heavy duty cream cleanser like Ponds.

I'm gunna keep this short and sweet! I've never been one who has a daily ritual of morning and night, but ever since I bought this I wash my face daily. If I don't do it, I feel like something is off. The scent is amazballs! I wish there were other products that smell this good and works this good! Using this is my favorite part of cleansing! It is sooooo moisturizing that I don't need to put anything more on my face, { I do, but it's not necessary} I've never had a bad reaction from this! My skin has become more and more dry and sensitive, but my skin sucks it all up and make me feel like I have smooth and moisturized feel just like a baby's butt! I've tried multiple products from this line, and not one time have I been let down. If I could only find products with this scent I'd be such a happy girl!

This stuff smells amazing and makes your skin feel soft. It doesn’t burn your eyes and washes off easily too.

I really enjoy the smell and feel of this on my face! I am really sensitive to scents and was pleasantly surprised when the apricot scent was so awesome. I look forward to using this one because of the scent and how smooth it feels on my face. I have very dry skin these past few years and nothing I've used until this product (granted, it hasn't been a ton of cleansers) has been able to clear up the dryness, others have always aggravated the dryness and made it worse! I do use moisturizers but I never realized how much of a difference your cleanser can make. I thought you were supposed to use a very strong foaming cleanser and then follow up with a rich moisturizer. When I switched to this, I saw a big difference in how moisuturized my skin started to feel. I have to knock off a star because for some reason, I get a mild burning sensation occasionally when I use this. I have no idea what causes it, why it only happens sometimes, or why it would happen since I don't seem to have particularly sensitive skin. The burn is mild and doesn't make me feel like I need to rinse immediately, but it's strong enough that once this is all gone, I'm going to have to find something different. I really love this otherwise. It doesn't negatively affect my skin in any other way in the long run. I don't get redness or dryness or any kind of break out from the burning...just the burning that goes away once I rinse the cleanser off. I would still recommend giving this a try, because I love everything about it except that part. I haven't found anyone else who has this problem with this cleanser so I don't know why I do! There must be some ingredient in it that my skin takes issue with. If you happen to know what ingredient it might be, let me know! I hope others still give this a try and love it.

This review is long overdue--I’ve been an Andalou Naturals user for over ten years. They’ve seen me from my mid-thirties when I had an oily t-zone (Citrus Kombucha cleansing gel, lemon sugar scrub, oil-free moisturizer). To my late-thirties when I moved to Colorado (high-elevation, unrelenting sun, dry) when I mixed in the Ultra Sheer daily defense day lotion and Reservatrol Q10 night repair cream. To my early forties when my skin was dulled by age and dry air when I added Turmeric + C Enlightening serum and Purple Carrot + C Luminous night cream. To now, in my mid-forties when I noticed subtle fine lines appearing around my mouth and neck, which switching over to the Apricot Probiotic cleansing milk + Fruit Stem Cell Revitalizing serum + Reservatrol Q10 night repair cream has NOTICEABLY taken care of. I can’t recommend this skin care line highly enough. It has seen me through oily skin, sun damage, low humidity, and fine wrinkles with ease. It’s so easy to mix and match depending on what my skin needs. And honestly, it looks better today at forty-six (glowing and dewy) than when I was twenty-six and was using much more expensive products. And they all smell so good!

I was enticed to buy this product based on the name : Andalou Naturals Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk. I thought it may have the consistency of milk and smell like apricots. Ladies and gents, it does not do/have either of those things. It's more like a practically, unscented hand lotion. I don't know about you, but I need to have lather in my cleansers so this lotion-type consistency does not do the job. I washed my face with this once and it seemed dirtier than what it was before I put the stuff on my face. So I've resorted to using this for removing make-up, and for that, it does a pretty good job. After that, I pull out a gel cleanser and really wash my face.

I have been using Andalou Naturals Age products for over 10 years. They are great! The Cleansing Milk is easy on the skin and feels very smooth when dry. No harsh chemicals in the product.

Andalou Naturals Probiotic Cleansing Milk, Apricot, 6 fl oz. This is a European-style cleansing milk. It is not an oil, nor does it turn watery. It feels like a thick lotion when applied and during use it thins a bit. LIKES: No added perfume or synthetic fragrance. No shea butter, no alcohol. Soft scent, velvet texture, gently cleans dry to very dry skin. Makes my skin feel "bouncy and plump"! I've tried many cleansers for "normal-to-dry" skin which ALL dried out my skin. This is the first cleansing milk I have purchased. I chose it over more expensive ones like Shiseido & Caudalie b/c these two contain either alcohol (drying!) or shea butter (clogs pores). I will continue to use this product for cleaning my skin. It's especially good in the morning, and it removes normal sunscreens at the end of the day. If I use a long-wear foundation or waterproof mascara, I have to double-cleanse b/c this product does not take off long-wearing makeup. It Does take off normal mascara that is not waterproof (The type that comes off with "soap & water".) DISLIKES: none! I infrequently wear long-wear makeup so the cleansing properties of this product are perfect for me. As stated earlier, I double-cleanse when wearing long-wearing makeup. It does not feel oily at all!
