Takes a while to heat up, so start well before cooking time, but then stays hot for hours. Very good.

When I was researching for this product I was really shocked at the negative reviews. Anyway decided to order it on my gut feeling. And I'm glad I did. This is a great product.Most of the negative reviews were on how long it took to light these briquettes. But if you have done enough barbecue you would know that it takes some time for any briquette to light up.What we did mostly as a faster workaround was light a fire up and put a few briquettes in the fire. Once they turned reddish we transferred them to the barbecue machine and piled more briquettes over them. It did the work quite faster.And once the briquettes are lighted they stay on for quite some time. Enough to finish 2 batches of chicken.Ordered this product with [Fabrilla Charcoal Barbeque Grill Set (Black) Round with 4 Skewers] and enjoyed a lot this winter.

But for the color, nothing else matches the properties of a charcoal. First it takes a very long time to catch fire even with the charcoal ignitor. Secondly the fire does not stay for long, you need to keep blowing air for it to stay ignited, quite a tiring job... lastly once it cools down, you will see sand along with the Ash...All in all... This is no where close to actual charcoal.

This is undoubtedly one of best charcoal briquettes I've ever used. But sadly the product that I received was a mere 9.4kgs net weight as compared to the 12kgs that it was supposed to be. This is a very sad and disappointing to recieve a product that is a whole 2.6kgs less that the expected weight. It's a criminal offence from the manufacturers part. Please look into this matter seriously.It's a shame to have such a good product with such an bad execution finale.

fast burning

It burn for almost 3hrs & provides even heat. It takes time to ignite like any other charcoal. This 12 kgs pack is good for 3 uses. You need at least 4 fire starters each time... But only 2 pieces of fire starters are provided with 12 kgs of charcoal hence pointless.
