Farshore Winnie-the-pooh Classic Collection

Oh Pooh, how could we not love you? You have been my companion since I was six (and that was in 1952). I fell in love with you then and still am. I cried when I left you and Christopher Robbin in The Enchanted Place and tears still well in my eyes when I re-read that ending.This compendium of the original A.A. Milne stories which I have purchased for my newly-born great nephew, will enchant him when he grows big enough to have them read to him and I hope continue to enchant him. The books are beautifully presented and each story is 'bite-sized' for young minds. The bonus is the wonderful E H Shepard illustrations. Although Disney's version of Winnie the Pooh is American fun, it's not a patch on the original and children should be encouraged to read the books before seeing the film.The books arrived super-fast and very well packed. THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED.

I received a rather nice box of lots of individual books, each containing a chapter from the two classics. Very nice, but there's no When we were very young or Now we are six, so I shall have to go and find them somewhere else. If I had received what was pictured I'd have been pleased. Whilst this set is quite nice, i wouldn't have ordered it, but life is too short to faff about returning stuff to Amazon when you can't print labels.

I got this as a gift for my Taiwanese friend who wants to improve her English and also was interested in illustration and English culture, and she absolutely loved it! The book is coming a very beautiful little storage box all of which is wrapped in plastic so that it’s nice and new which makes a perfect gift. Honestly, I didn’t want to give it away!

They are as good as they ever were when I was 6. I am not sure about colouring E.H.Shepard's wonderful drawings, perhaps I'm getting to be a grumpy old man as I approach my 90th birthday!!

These are not the original words. In now we are six, the updated word in Tinker Taylor makes no sense at all. I will be sending them back. Nowhere did It say they have been changed. You can't change classics.
