What's the difference between the boot fix and shoe fix versions?

Thanks for asking!  There is no difference.  When we first trademarked Boot-Fix and Shoe-Fix we were going to make Boot-Fix a thicker viscosity but by the time we were ready to launch Shoe-Fix we found the best formula yet and decided to just use it for both!  We kept both brands because some retailers expressed interest early on in carrying one brand exclusively.  This would allow us to market the other brand somewhere else.  Boot-Fix was on Amazon first by about 1 year.  Thanks again!

Question 2

Does it dry out in the bottle? I don’t want to spend $15 if it’ll only make one repair and dry out after 6 months.

I've used this in my parent's shoe repair shop. Best practice is to keep it in the fridge EVEN BEFORE OPENING. We used to keep an entire mini-fridge full of the stuff.

If you grab two bottles, I'd suggest throwing 1 in the freezer, where it'll last years (maybe decades, haven't found a limit to this yet), and one in the fridge. The one in the fridge will last about 12-24 months depending on how often you use it and how often it sits out.

And remember, this stuff works on just about anything, so if you've got a job where regular super glue won't cut it, try some shoe-fix instead. We would use this on everything, and since NJOY came out with the new formula, we've found it can do even more than before.

Is this stuff really any different than super glue?

Lol! Yes, it's really much stronger, stays flexible after drying (unlike regular super glue), and it stays good in the bottle much longer than other super glues. And the shoe repair industry really does use this stuff and not regular super glue.

Question 4

Can someone confirm once and for all whether this dries clear or dries white?  Manufacturer clearly says "dries clear", but several reviews say white.

It dries clear but it will remain a shiny clear when it dries. Have a small cloth available when you apply it and (very) quickly wipe any excess off (as minimal as possible !) as you are holding the 2 pieces together. This should take care of it and I cannot say this more strongly - it will attach 2 of ANYTHING together (particularly skin) so be careful with this stuff.
