I ordered size M and it's large for me, I am already at the 2nd to the tightest hooks and it's still not as tight as I would have imagined. I think because the material is too stretchy it just molds around the body. It also folds at the tummy area which might show if you are wearing it out with a tight shirt on. If there was a S size it would probably have worked better for me. On the plus side the material is 'breathable', if you just want a shapewear under your everyday clothes and not a waist trainer, this might work.
