I do get a kind of plastic smell from mine, but I keep it in a closed desk drawer when not in use. The odor is noticeable at close range (1 foot or less) but not very strong. I suspect that if left out in the open the smell would dissipate. When I've had it out for days (like on a trip), the smell is much less.

where do you put the mouse and cable

There's not a pocket for a mouse and cable. This case is strictly for laptops only.

ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2018 のために購入、問題なく使用できました。

同じように検討されている方へ私が数あるノートPC用ケースの中から本品を選んだ理由は、以下の3つです。・液晶に負荷がかかるのを防ぐため、それなりに形が保持されるものであること・通気性を考えて密着度が高くなく、逆にケース内壁にぶつかって傷まないように空間が空きすぎないこと・取り出した後にケースが邪魔にならないよう、PCと一体のまま使えることノートPCは熱を持つのでケースと重ねたままの使用は少し心配ではありますが、底面に当たる部分が完全には密着しないようスリットが入っており、熱があまりこもらないよう配慮されています。ハードケースほど固くはなくソフトケースほどフニャフニャしていない、寸法的にはもう少し薄くてよかったですが他に候補がなく、実は他にもいくつか購入したのですが、結果的に自分なりに納得できたものはこの商品でした。こだわりのポイントが同じような方で、他に候補がなさそうな方、検討されても悪くはないと思います。
