Review: I finally did it - I read "War and Peace" - and this Penguin Clothbound Classics edition made the journey as beautiful as it was rewarding. First, the physical book itself is stunning. The clothbound cover design is a work of art. The paper quality is excellent, the binding is sturdy, and despite being over 1,200 pages, it's surprisingly comfortable to hold and read. This edition looks incredible on the shelf but is clearly designed to be read, not just displayed. As for Tolstoy's masterpiece - where do I even start? Yes, it's long, but I was never bored. The battle scenes are thrilling, the ballroom scenes are elegant, and the philosophical sections (which everyone warns you about) were actually some of my favorite parts. The way Tolstoy weaves together dozens of characters across war and peace, love and death, is simply masterful. Pierre's search for meaning, Natasha's coming of age, Prince Andrei's arc - these characters became real to me. I genuinely cared what happened to them. The translation in this edition is clear and readable while maintaining the richness of Tolstoy's prose. This is an investment, but one I don't regret for a second. If you've been intimidated by "War and Peace," this edition makes it feel achievable and special.

A edição é sensacional. Tamanho adequado tanto para a capa quanto para as letras, papel de qualidade, resistente e muito, muito bonito. Comprei em inglês pra praticar e também neste quesito é excelente, aprendi várias palavras novas sem que a tarefa tenha sido por isso enfadonha. A história também é impressionante, ainda estou na metade mas a quantidade de post-it’s que eu coloquei no livro já demonstra o quanto ele me ensina (são vários!). Recomendo bastante.
