Absolutely love it! And my kid does too. Only problem I see is since it is wooden, the fruits are quite heavy. Have to take care kids don't drop it on their feet.

Good for pretend play

Whoever thought of this was awesome! I bought this for my 4 year old daughter. We've only had it for a few days and she has played with it non stop. I think it is a pretty well made set. Packaging: The set comes in a wooden tray with the sides about 2 inches tall and pretty well made. The fruit sits in molded plastic holding each piece separate. The bottom of the tray has a picture of hay. I took the plastic out so its easier for my daughter to take care of it, she can just put all the pieces in the tray. Knife: Good imitation wooden knife. It's about 8 inches long and shaped like a butcher knife. Fruit: Set comes with a strawberry, pear, kiwi, cantaloupe, melon, orange, and lemon. They are made of solid wood, and the pictures/colors on them are painted on, not stickers. The pieces of fruit are held together by velcro that is inset in the center of each piece. The velcro is white and it about the size of a nickel. I think the velcro could be larger on some of the bigger pieces of fruit (the pear for instance) to hold it together better, but what it has does do the trick. When cutting the fruit, it does imitate real cutting. My daughter actually has to put "work" into it to get them cut. As far as durability, I really can't say as we've only had it a week. I can see the velcro eventually giving out, but that would be an easy fix. I would recommend this product as I know it will give my daughter several years of fun!

J'ai offert ce coffret à ma nièce de 2 ans qui adore, il est constitué d'une tranche de melon (à découper en 4 morceaux), d'une banane (à découper en 3 morceaux), d'un kiwi (2 morceaux), d'une orange (2 morceaux), d'une poire (2 morceaux), d'une fraise (2 morceaux) et d'un citron (2 morceaux). Le coffret comprend 1 couteau en bois et 1 récipient qui contient les fruits, lui aussi en bois. Les fruits à découper sont en bois(donc jouet solide), reliés par des scratchs, ils sont réalites et sont presque grandeur nature ce qui est très appréciable. Ce jouet permet à l'enfant de travailler sa dextérité fine (découper et recoller les parties de fruit), d'apprendre à reconnaître et nommer les fruits et permet d'imiter papa et maman quand ils font la cuisine.
