Metal frame piece sheared off
I got two of these, but after about a month, one of them broke (the metal frame connector bit) for no obvious reason (probably was faulty) which is a bummer since I already tossed the packaging. They do look modern/industrial-almost, and are breathable, which is good, but actually I find them a bit too tall, so they are very deep to reach into to retrieve the clothes for washing.

A comprehensive review
I wanted to write this after some time had passed. Overall, I do like the hamper. It is a straightforward assembly that took about 10 minutes in total. The cinch is useful because I am able to easily carry my laundry to the laundry room.However, I see how tears may appear. If there is too much weight within the basket, it pushes the fabric of the hamper down. If this happens often enough, the fabric may fray. Assuming you don't overfill your hamper, this shouldn't be an issue.

Good design but has a couple issues
I bought this for the clever design and sleek style but it could be so much better if the maker had put more thoughts into it. First , it's still a little heavy to be moved around - wish they had used aluminum instead of steel for the frame . Second, it is a little too tall for a shorter person to hold/move - I am 5'7" and have to lift it a little to prevent it from dragging on the floor - anyone shorter will probably have to lift it higher with their hands. Wish the bottom part of the frame was shorter.

So poorly made it couldn't be assembled.
This is a review for the Umbra Cinch Laundry Hamper.This item was bad right out of the box. The frame pieces didn't line up so it couldn't even be assembled. I threw it away rather than ask for a replacement because the whole thing seemed like an item that would not hold up to long term use. It needs a far sturdier frame for starters, and probably a better bag as well.

Love this design
Love this design! The handle grasp needs a bit of effort to close for carrying because of the sturdy metal bars, and the little rubbers for the bottom of the hamper doesn't stay put. The shipping took awhile for delivery. All in all, this is a great hamper because of its ease of use, perfect color, strong mesh and streamlined look.
