Are they waterproof if left out in the rain or dropped in the pool?

These did get dropped into a pool, but rescued quickly without ill effect. They seem to be water repellant but IF they get soaking wet the lenses fog up with condensation. We left them outside (lost in the bushes) and it took about a week in rice to dehydrate the condensation.

I have a 3 and 6 y/o. Def want these for 3 y/o but do you think 6 y/o would be too old too quickly for these? maybe cheap real ones instead?

My 3 year old loves them and even my 12 year old is impressed by them.

Is this item made with PVC and does it contain plasticizers (phlathlates)?

I do not have a clue what it is made of. The kids love it .
