It was ok in this respect.- the initial phase seems to last for a week or so and then you hardly notice the strong overpowering smell. Of course, when that goes away, the ability to rid the area of the odor you want to get rid of goes down too.- these are meant to be replaced often and frequently thus the need for a 12 pack- the downside of replacing them is that the adhesive tape is VERY sticky. It's hard to remove when we placed it on metal, wood, and walls. It pulls off in bunches or patches and then you have to carefully remove them.- For an item meant to replaced so often, I don't understand why the adhesive tape is so strong. For our wood cabinet, I now actually peel as much adhesive off as I can when I throw it away and now tape on top of old adhesive tape that is a pain to take off.I'm not sure I'll buy another replacement pack and I've stuck to using Baking Soda which seems to absorb and rid the space of odor rather than masking it as these do.

We love these stick ups, and even after the fragrance starts to diminish, they still put out a gentle smell for some time. We got 24 individual stick ups, which is an incredible purchase for the money. We use these in our linen closet, coat closet by the garage door, our trash can, our master closet, our guest bathroom, and other such places. They can be hidden and out of sight easily, and bring a gentle and subtle fragrance into the area.I have friends who are susceptible to strong perfumes and such and these do not offend them in any way. You can adjust the amount of fragrance that comes out by either opening the lid a little more or a little less. When the fragrance begins to diminish quite a bit, we will put these in a smaller area and squeeze out every bit of fragrance that it has to offer before we finally trash it.

Love the clean fresh scent

I bought these to stick in my diaper garbage. With two children in diapers, it gets stinky, fast. I hoped these would stick under the lid, but the tape isn't so strong (I used my own double-sided tape instead) and it fell into the trash twice (ew!). That's the only reason I gave this 4 stars. The smell is amazing, and it really does work! The diaper area smells fresh and clean, you'd never know the pail was full of dirty ones! And if it gets rid of diaper odor, just imagine what it does in laundry hampers, garbage pails, and other tend-to-smell places! It didn't quite last the three months it was supposded to, but that's fine. I figured it wore itself out trying to combat the diaper smell.

In a marketing decision similar to New Coke, Air Wick has apparently discontinued these, for "better products". Hopefully, they will change their mind and produce "Stick Up Classic"...Bottom line, they work! No glass to break, no liquid to spill, they don't have to be plugged in or sprayed. No timers, flames or other gimmicks, and they are inexpensive. Apparently the public is expected to display their air freshener proudly, and include it as a design element in their homes. I wanted an air freshener for my laundry hamper, a musty closet, and other areas of my home that needed to smell fresher. These were designed for, and still work perfectly. The scent is clean, and not too strong. I don't know how long the scent will last, because I was always able to buy a new one and never paid attention; I now have 2 dozen, which will hopefully tide me over until Air Wick sees the error of its ways and resumes production.

I like having my house smell good and clean. I put these on my ceiling fan blades so when I turn on the fans I get the scent throughout the room. The scent is a bit "off" for me. I prefer a "clean linen" scent aren't quite that, but still a pleasant scent. I find that they don't last (they are not big), but they do work. I even put one on my trash can in the trash cabinet and when I open the cabinet, it has a strong scent, so works great in small places.

To strong but I have horrible allergies

As mentioned in another review for a similar item, these don't seem to last very long. They tend to last maybe 3 days or so before the odor fades away (or is it that they dry up?) Luckily, this box contains enough of them that I can keep replacing them as needed. Not the ideal solution for drowning out the smell of a stinky co-worker, but it does the job.I stick these to the bottom of my co-workers desk so he won't notice. Maybe there are better, yet still discrete ways to counteract the smell of unwashed clothes, cigarettes, and BO? Until I find a better solution, these will have to do.
