Anything to keep the water treatment company out of the house :)
This is a great product if your water softener system includes on of those giant blue filters. 30 micron is the way to go and Pentair is a known brand. Anything more is probably overkill for most people's water treatment system. This was my first time replacing my filter and I would tell anyone that you can totally do this yourself!! Cut off the water to both sides of the filter housing. Press the red button on the filter housing to release the pressure. Use your plastic filter wrench to unscrew the filter housing. Be a little careful and use two hands to do the final unscrewing as the housing can be a little heavy with the water inside. Pop in the new filter and voila! You just saved yourself a $250 service call. Highly recommend. Good filter!
