This lotion is like magic ✨ I had a very bad sunburn on my legs. I used this stuff twice and woke up and my sunburn had faded a lot. I highly recommend this and am so happy I purchased this. I’m not sure why a lot of people make it sound like this product smells awful. I don’t find the smell to be bad at all. Smells like regular lotion to me. It felt very cool and helped the burning feeling a lot. If you’re looking for something to help your burns and work quickly, this is definitely a magical product.

This stuff is actual magic. I'm as white as Elmer's glue and if I'm not careful I'll burn in the blink of an eye. This miracle takes all the sting and heat out of a burn within minutes of application. I'll stay pink for a day or two, but I don't feel like I have a burn anymore. I've bathed in vinegar, kept aloe gel in the fridge, slathered on Solarcane, and NOTHING comes close to working like Burt's Bees After Sun Lotion. It's worth It's weight in gold!!

I purchased this product due to my inability to provide my skin with appropriate sun protection one day this summer (it has been a few years since I have experienced such levels of sun on a regular basis). I proceeded to spend a night wishing that I could safely freeze myself into an ice cube (which I am positive I would have melted out of in a matter of minutes). Midnight discomfort lead me to this product. The initial use was a day or two after the day of regret, but it eased the discomfort and moisturized my reddened skin, helping to soften the leather layer I had started to form. Of course this review would not be complete without me faulting myself a second time. Two times in one summer I proved my inability to adult well. I applied this lotion the MINUTE I realized that I had experienced another exposure to the sun for too long a period (aka: is it hot in here or is it just my shoulders). To my absolute joy, this product relieved my discomfort. It left a layer that stayed cool for a few hours (at which time I reapplied it), it was a little tacky to the touch (not sticky or oily), and my skin did not experience the crocodile and subsequent peeling experience it had earlier in the season. The scent is soft and not overpowering. I have experienced skin sensitivity in the past to products, but I had no issues with Burt’s Bees products. Thank you for providing me with such a helpful product.

Easy on and not too greasy after sunny day in AZ that somehow ends up reddening some parts of skin not covered!

Nothing truly “cures” a sunburn, but this definitely helped when I got a little too much sun and ended up red without being completely scorched. It cooled my skin nicely, felt hydrating, and seemed to help protect my skin enough that I didn’t peel afterward. The scent is pleasant without being overpowering and the lotion absorbs well without feeling sticky. I’ve actually recommended it to friends and they’ve liked it too.

Smells good and helps me with my painful chub rub under my belly. We also use it to soothe sunburn.
