Adjustable Dumbbell

Overall quality: very good Grip: For a small size guy like me, it feel very convenient, but you definitely need gloves to train with. Weight plates: the locking tabs are made of metal. (In the previous versions, the locking tabs were made of hard smooth plastic tabs which gets eroded with time and the handles could not hold the plates) Length: They are long dumbbells. You might find some exercises would be a bit awkwardly performed. But with some maneuvers, you will get use to it. Changing weights: very smooth to change. Keep in mind that you jump by 2-3 kg in each change. That's a big jump for some exercises. (I wish if Bowflex would make something for micro-loading) Generally I am very pleased with them.

One of them is locked and I can't unlock it.

Due to a ridiculous design change on the Seletech Dumbell bases, they will not fit the stand that is advertised.

Purchased these weights for a few reasons: First, my home gym is small and I didn't want to loose a lot of space for a conventional weight set. So was looking for an adjustable set. Second, other reviewers and other sites had given these weights good ratings and reviews. Third, for the price, these weights can work out cheaper than most conventional sets of multiple weights. Starting at 5lb, and going up in 2.5 lb increments to 25 lb, (5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25) then in 5 lb increments after that ( 30, 35, 40, 45, 50) finishing off at 52.5 lb. It's basically 15 pairs of weights. Adjustment is fast and easy, simply change the dial at each end of each weight. The weights stay balanced by picking up the same weights on each side of the grip. Takes a couple of seconds to go from one weight to another. Easy to keep clean as all weights can be taken out of the base individually for cleaning/sanitation, and go back in in a certain order only. Plates lock in place and feel solid on the bar/grip. I trust them overhead, upside down, etc. (I tried to shake them loose first, stayed in place and solid.) Feels good in the hand, and not overly bulky on smaller weights as some mentioned. Grip is good and firm. I read some reviews about them breaking/locking, the ONLY way i can think of breaking them is if they are being slammed to the ground or dropped from height after a set. Simply put, look after them and they will serve you for years I'd say. Mine came extremely well packed, delivered in a couple of days to the door. Total package IS HEAVY. Comes in at about 140lb I believe. Mine also came with an instructional DVD, training guide and info book.

Mi review es de la pesa rusa, o "kettlebell", y estos son los pros y contras que le veo. Pros: - En una sola pesa tienes 6 pesos diferentes. - Ahorras muchísimo espacio. - Es muy fácil cambiar de peso. Contras o áreas de mejora: - La cubierta al ser de plástico muy delgado, se siente frágil, hay que tratarla con cuidado. - De 11kg se brinca a 16kg, es decir, no hay nada en medio y brinca 5kg, que me parece mucho. - El "plato" que queda abajo sosteniendo las pesas que no se necesiten, también se siente fragil. En general estoy contento con el producto, aún con los detallitos que menciono.

Perfect and easy to use
