Note: disconnect rod from door latch under snapon cover on outside door handle Review: Poor quality, malfunctioning/defective out of the box - Item has worked erratically since day one.. I was willing to accept some quirks with the new latch in the hopes it would improve over time as the latch broke in. This new one has only gotten worse. Sometimes it does not unlock from the inside requiring use of the power unlock switch to unlock to get out (THIS INABILITY TO EXIT WOULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE IN AN EMERGENCY-NOT A GOOD LIABILITY), sometimes the alarm does not arm and chirp confirmation. I tried to ask the seller about this worsening operation a month or so ago, but no response. Unless I receive contact back from the seller about replacing these defective items, I have to advise against purchasing them, is not worth paying less if it is a malfunctioning piece of junk. Spend a $100 for something that works. I'll be happy to revise these comments if the seller makes it right.
