Giving this 3 starts. I was hoping to find a replacement for the Ascent Plant Based Chocolate (which I will go to my grave saying is the best tasking plant based chocolate out there), which seems to be out of stock or they are no longer making...but this fell a bit short: 1) The product information for the individual packets I purchased say 44g/pack. They are absolutely not. Measuring it out, it's about 37g in the packet. So this is 100% false advertising. 2) Taste is okay - it's smoother than I thought, but has a slight chalky taste. I can also taste the tart cherry - it's not overpowering, but definitely a little different. Overall, it's okay. Not sure I will buy again.

Good stuff! I just recently went “dairy free” and I needed to find a good protein powder without whey. I am extremely picky - it has to taste good and mix well while being cost effective. I did a lot of research and landed on this one, individually packed for convenience which was something else I was interested in. First use: when I used this protein powder the first time, I used the whole packet at once with 8 oz of water and was EXTREMELY disappointed. It was VERY clunky (I couldn’t get it to mix) therefore it was making me gag. It tasted awful. Second use: I remembered when I was using other protein powder out of the tub I never used a full scoop for one drink (either 1/2 or 3/4) so I split this packet in half and mixed it with 10 oz of water. GAME CHANGER! This is exactly how I like it (understanding it’s my preference and everyone’s is different). I still mix with a spoon rather than just in a shaker bottle, but once I got the correct powder to liquid ratio I liked, it taste pretty good and I only mix with water. I’m sure mixing with almond milk would taste even better!

Bought this for a camping trip. The packets require a blade to open, that might be a good thing if you don't want it spilling. The powder itself is chalky and doesn't blend all that well. However with 30g of protein per packet I have to say it provides a lot of protein, which is what counts at the end of the day. Each packet is also decently filling for the size. I will probably just bring along a ziplock of my bulk protein powder from home next time given the cost, but depending on your use case these could still be a good option.

There’s something about the taste that’s hard to describe. It’s not chocolate. Powdery? I need extra protein to recover from surgery. The way I use this is to make vegan nice cream. I use really sweet bananas, dates, and add extra cocoa to mask the taste. Otherwise it’s a great way to get in that extra protein.

I don’t know what product the 5 star reviewers had, because this powder is absolutely disgusting. It doesn’t mix well, is chalky, and the flavor - all I can compare it to is dust. It has a dusty flavor that is repulsive. Also, Amazon would not return this, so it’s $30 out the window, because no one in my family can stand it - and we eat RAW KALE. We can stomach some challenging foods in the name of health, but this protein powder is just too unpleasant to choke down.
