Brilliant little garmin starter watch for the kids. No need to charge, they can keep track of those steps on walks. They can easily change the strap as the watch just pops out and straight into another strap

Bought this for my son's 9th birthday the size fits his wrist well and it is good quality. He loves it, he is able to track his activity and number of steps. He also enjoys the coins reward system making it a good way to encourage him to do cores. The build quality is good but the screen is a little hard to see but I presume this is the sacrifice for a long battery life.

Brilliant Smart Watch for children, accompanying Garmin kids app that allows for chores, tasks to be set with reward points. Physical Rewards can then be set up for your child to "claim" via the app. In app story features unlock based on activity and excersise frequency to encourage children's physical excersise. You sync the app to the watch to update progress and points earbed. Slight connectivity issues can arrise with the app if installed on multiple devices, E.G two parents and child as the WiFi connection trys to connect to multiple devices at once. Packaging a little low quality for a £60 RRP would have expected slightly higher end finish perhaps celephane wrapped. The watch itself is small in stature, obviously geared at younger children. The screen is small and not as clear and bright as perhaps you might expect, and there are no brightness settings to adjust. Simple system for children to flick through the several screens and one button to navigate the options. The watch strap is soft silicone and the watch itself can be removed for strap cleaning and replacement. The battery is a supposed "12 month" life span. Untested as of yet but perhaps explains the limited brightness of screen to keep running usage low. We are using the watch and app with our autistic son and it is a great way to encourage good positive behaviour using the "chores" section to type our own daily tasks and routines to "tick off" including the rewards as encouragement. Overall a great gadget for both parent and child good durability and soft comfortable wear.

Perfect gadget for sport active kids

Bought for my youngest for Christmas, he loves it! This style is great and goes with everything. Slightly tricky to get on and off every day (needs help) so I do miss the pull on stretchy style of the old watch (I'm talking 8-10 years ago mind) but TBF we did have to replace the straps and run the risk of losing the watch device itself! Been asked by a few different parents and teachers what the model is as they like the look of it themselves. Great gift, glad we got it!

My 7 year old son loves his watch. We’ve used the step counter to challenge him to reach his fitness goals every day and agree a reward for when he’s able to. He loves letting all his friends know where he’s at for the day. Also great for me to monitor his sleep patterns. This watch is waterproof, easy to clean and manage and best of all - doesn’t require charging. The battery will supposedly need changing every year but hasn’t needed it yet for us even though purchase was around a year ago.

This was a really good purchase, my Grandson wears it every day and it has really encouraged walking to targets. Well worth the money.

Ideal for my 8yo son. The watch interface itself is a bit limited, for example it only gives hours slept in the app, so he can't see that himself. That's why I've only given 4 stars. The screen is absolutely fine, despite other comments. Due to the battery decision, it's obviously not an bright, LED screen like many others, but rather a colour LCD with a back-light. The back-light is only really needed in the dark. The replaceable battery is an interesting decision, but seems to work well. While my other kids have to continually faff with taking their watches off to charge, trying not to lose them, or getting disappointed if they run out of battery, those problems just don't exist with this one. I think, for kids, it's a good design. The alternative to this seemed to be the Fitbit Ace 3. But that's a really odd beast - just an adult watch with certain features disabled - probably repurposed units which failed QC. The Ace 2 my daughter has is as buggy as all hell too. I've no idea what the firmware dev team were smoking, but forums are full of unanswered complaints, which has put me off fitbit permanently. This one, by comparison, works well and consistently.

Pros: - designed with children's special needs in mind. No need to charge, antialergen materials, special form of the watch bottom to give some ventilation to the skin underneath. - kids-specific timers (e.g., teeth cleaning) - easier to find battery (it was a pain to find the proper batteries for the previous model). Battery lasts for a year. Cons: - bigger than the previous version (but that also allows to use a better battery). - you need a special Garmin Jr app to manage them. - the weakest point is the strap holder loop. It often breaks, replacement is hard to find. Non original cases and straps are really poor quality, original ones are super expensive. No solution to this problem. - it's hard to put the watch back into it's shell after you wash them. Others: - 1 year battery means no health monitoring except the step counter, no oled display, no fast animation and so on. - I really doubt that children need any "smart functions" on the watch. My kid use only time and timer. There are some gamification features designed (collect some points to unlock some games), but those are not for every kid - > can be often ignored.

Lo smartwatch presenta alta qualità costruttiva ma la luminosità del display è un po' scarsa. Le funzioni dell'orologio sono basiche, ma i contenuti sono elevati nell'applicazione sia per bambini che per genitori. È corretto associare degli obiettivi e delle ricompense ai compiti assegnati ,sia di attività fisica che di altro tipo.
