Big advance in rechargeable batteries
Worth the extra cost to get the Hybrid batteries. The do everything the manufacturers claim, requiring much less charging, and holding their charge for very long periods of time. Plus, I recharge them in my existing chargers so no need to invest in new rechargers.

Low Quality "AAA" Batteries
I ordered Rayovac Hybrid Pre-Charged "AAA" Batteries from Adorama thru Amazon. Batteries arrived DEAD. Could NOT charge after 2 cycles in my charger. Do NOT buy from this seller. I have Rayovac Hybrid AA Batteries from a DIFFERENT SELLER and they work fine. Hybrid batteries have a very low Self-Discharge Rate (SDR). These "AAA" are either FAKE Rayovac's or have been shelved for years. The other possibility is that maybe all Rayovac Hybrid Batteries are NOT created equal. Maybe the "AA"s are just better than the "AAA"s. My suggestion is to buy a different brand of "AAA" batteries and NEVER order any batteries from ADORAMA CAMERA. Stockpiling batteries for years is a very poor way to sell anything with a limited shelf life. Batteries not only discharge with time, but they also degrade. You never see year old bread, meat, milk, or eggs at your grocery store (hopefully). Usually, you can tell by looking at a product (or produce) if it has degraded, but this is not the case with batteries. You DON"T KNOW till you get them home and try them. Don't even take a chance with these batteries and forget about dealing with ADORAMA CAMERA.

Works as expected
Easy to recharge with Rayovac charger. They don't last as long as standard alkaline batteries, but good for many recharge cycles.

good service
I ordered the rechargable batteries to replace regular batteries because I go through a lot because of my wireless excesseries. I've used them for 3 weeks and they still have a full charge, they seem to have a long life. They charge in a few hours are are ready to use. The rechargable batteries saves me money over me having to keep buying regular batteries.

The best rechargeables I know of
I've used regular NiMh rechargeables for the past 5 years and the Rayovac Hybrid rechargeables just blow them away. They come pre-charged, they seem to last longer before needing recharging and they hold a charge while sitting on the shelf, waiting to be used. I've been using them for over a year and I'm nothing but happy. They cost more but they're cleary worth every penny. The only thing that would be better is if they offered the larger D and C cell sizes for flashlights, etc.

Disappointed
I bought these about two years ago and just assumed they were 800mAh (as written on the battery). I've been using them off and on over the two years and finally decided to run them through a refresh cycle in my lacrosse charger. I was surprised to see that, after being refreshed, the batteries max capacities were only about 680mAh. I was even more surprised when I checked the reviews on Amazon and they all appeared to be glowing. I did not test the batteries when I first purchased them so I don't know if they "degraded" or if they were never 800mAh to begin with. It doesn't matter as I'm never going to purchase these or any other Rayovacs again. At the time I bought these they were a few bucks cheaper than eneloops I had bought a few months before, but, those eneloops are still going strong after all these years and still have a capacity higher than their promised 800mAh. Do yourself a favor and skip these.

Recommended to all my friends
I have bought both Eneloop and Rayovac Hybrids and so far, I like them both. Rayovac Hybrids hold their charge after I charge them so that I can store them away in a drawer; and when I can take them out, they are ready to go. They also last longer than standard rechargeables in my electronic equipment. With the Hybrids, I am not forever recharging.Eneloop or Rayovac Hybrid? I haven't seen a difference. I just pick the less expensive one.
