Q: can you buy replacement bands easily...if so where and what size?

It's a standard 22mm strap. You will need a 0.8mm pin tool like a Bergeon 6767-F to push the pin out (the lugs are drilled through). I replaced mine with a silicone strap because the leather + nylon strap supplied with it, while surprisingly nice for this price, is not waterproof.

Didn't the watch come with instructions? Anyway, ONLY SLIGHTLY pull out the screw ( at the top) which you use to set the time; not so far as to make the watch face hands move. One way moves the DATE, the other the DAY-which displays twice ( as you turn the screw), once in English and then in Spanish ( Mon; Lun...as in Monday and Lunes), and then continues. Which ever way you turned the screw to effect the DAY; turn the opposite way to effect the DATE. Hope that helps. P.S. You will have to adjust for the months ending in 31 days ( by using the same technique to advance the date) or the 1st of the following month will show the 31st.

Some may be unfamiliar with exactly how hard it is to get a quartz watch to even come close to properly lining up with each marker. This is extremely unfortunate because that is practically unavailable without spending a good chunk of change. You get what you pay for

Yes, go to Amazon and search Eco Drive men's solar watch. Model BM8180-03E with a red second hand measures 37mm so is quite a bit smaller than the Seiko. The Citizen has been out for many years, is a top seller with Reviews showing 4.5 out of five stars and over a thousand reviews. But, it's a Citizen, not a Seiko if that matters to you.

Daily driver watch!

Excellent! The dial is really dark nearly black which I like, the numbers are clear and crisp. The day function has two languages, if you choose the English, it will stay English.

Perfect weekend or field watch. Affordable. Legible. Day-date function. Nylon strap is comfortable. Because it is a quartz movement, it keeps reliable time. And because it is solar powered, there is no need to worry about battery replacements.Down-falls: The bezel does not rotate. The lume is very dim and only lasts about a minute.Looks great and keeps accurate time. Overall 5/5 stars, would recommend for a daily beater/workhorse watch.

Great timepiece

Very please with the watch, a good size and very comfortable. Not tested the water resistance but no reason to think it won’t be fine for my needs of washing the car or getting wet walking my dogs. Accuracy is excellent and very easy to read time although the date is a little small fir my poor eyesight. Very please with the quality feels like it will last. Recommended

Diese Uhr ist sehr schön, leider hat sie sich auch nach längerem Ladevorgang nur für kurze Zeit aufgeladen und schon sprang der Sekundenzeiger wieder alle 2 Sekunden, schade!
