I am impressed with the fit and finish of this set. It is well balanced and easy to use. I bought it for marinade use, of oourse, but I also purchased it to facilitate transfer of food 'liquids' (hot sauces) from a bulk package to a smaller more handy package. It works extremely well for that purpose. My only concern, and believe me it is very minor, is the bag. It is not of the same quality and almost cheapens the product. The bag is ok for it's purpose, and I won't take away any stars from this review because of the bag. The marinade eBook is a nice touch, too, though it would be good if teaspoon/tablespoon values were given for the mL values. At least the file isn't protected so I used Acrobat DC Pro to add the teaspoon/tablespoon/cup values. Recommended.

Just used this injector for the first time today for Thanksgiving turkey prep. I chose this kit mainly because it received good reviews and the reviews were not primarily from people who had received the item for free. I was initially pleased with the appearance of all of the parts of this kit when I unpacked it. I cleaned them, oiled the o-ring, screwed on a needle, and drew in some brine. Imagine my surprise when more brine ended up shooting out the side of the injector, than went into my turkey. Yep. Turns out my injector has a leak at the bottom, where the cylinder meets the cone-shaped piece that the needle attaches to. I was able to make do with what I had by keeping a finger pressed over the leaky spot, but this was definitely a big disappointment. Edit: Almost immediately after I posted my initial review, the seller responded and asked me to email them so they could make it right. My 2-star review was posted on a Saturday. I emailed the seller on Sunday and received a response the same day. A few emails later and an entire replacement set was on its way to me Monday morning, delivered Tuesday afternoon, at no cost to me. Incredible! The new injector works as well as I hoped it would, so I am changing my review to 5 stars.

Review Edit: The company sent me a replacement needle, and now everything works great. Original review: The injector seems to work well, but there was some false advertising on the company's part. The pictures of the product all show an injector needle with several holes in it, 6 are shown just on the side of the needle we can see. In the picture the holes go nearly halfway up the needle. This is not the case with the actual product I received only had holes on the first inch, and only two rows deep. This means to get the marinade throughout a pork shoulder I have to keep drawing the needle up and reinjecting after repositioning the needle.

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago and finally I was able to use it this past weekend. At first when I opened the package I was pretty impressed with the contents. The injector (with 2 injection needles), 2 brushes for cleaning the injector, a bag with replacement o rings, a thermometer, a basting brush, and a bag for all the contents. The first thing that I did was put a needle on and pull the plunger up. It was very stiff. I was thinking to myself, this isn't good. I put it back in the pack and only could think about how hard it was to pull. I put it aside and finally this weekend I decided to smoke a Boston butt. I injected it with ease. The plunger just needed a little lube (marinade) to get it going. It was very smooth. Clean up was an ease with the cleaning brushes. It was very simple and easy to use. Very impressed.

I received this item in the mail today, 6/9/16. upon taking it out of the packaging, the slide for the injector was extremely hard to pull back. So hard that the o-ring broke. After finally getting it apart, I can see where the o-ring had seized to the side of the cylinder which I imagine is why it would not move in the first place. - I haven't even opened the rest of the packaging (brushes and thermometer) I bought this for a friend having a cookout this weekend and I'm stuck with something they cannot use. I would say everything else about this seems to be a well made product, just a bad move to put a pressed fit piece of silicone inside a chamber to be heated up inside a warehouse somewhere....

Great tool, used it the day I got it. Very heavy, solid feel, not flimsy like the other one I have. The brushes that came with it make cleaning up a snap. The variety of needles make it easy to inject everything from a simple liquid marinade to something more robust with seasonings and other items in the sauce. It also comes with a basting brush and an extra set of silicone replacement washers which, if you have ever needed to replace one of those, that in and of itself saves a lot of effort. A lot of thought went into this simple tool and it made the injection process very easy, which means I will use it a lot. I expect to get many years out of this product. Highly recommended!

I purchased this for my husband as a Father's Day gift. He pulled it out and was so excited about the quality of the marinator. It is well made and having the cleaning brushes in the right size makes for easy clean up. we love how well it works and the stability of the product. My husband has broke a few of the cheaper ones, so this one will last due to being so well made.

Stainless steel parts, quality rubber o-rings, easy to assembly and disassembly for cleaning and a convenient carrying case, this is a great tool to have for any serious cook and a MUST have for a BBQ fanatic! Just don’t forget to lube up to o-rings with cooking oil before using every time for completely water proof seals or you’ll end up wearing some of your brine!
