White LED ZEVO, only for clear lens applications, use the red version behind a red lens.
SYLVANIA - 3157 ZEVO LED White Bulb: This bulb is higher wattage (1.7/0.7W) than the red version (1.5/0.4W) on both segments (high and low power 3157 'filaments'/LEDs). If used as a single filament 3156 bulb you get the bright filament/LED, the low wattage 'filament' is unused. LED facts: This one uses White LEDs so most of the light is absorbed by the red plastic lens that normal/OEM cars use for break/stop/running. I tried the red ZEVO LED bulb version behind the same lens and IT IS BRIGHTER than the white even though it is lower wattage. THIS IS CORRECT. The white LEDs emit a low percentage of light in the red spectrum so most of the white LED light is absorbed which makes for a dimmer light after passing through a red lens. Most of the red LEDs light (high percentage) passes through a red lens. The white one is good for the backup light only and also, perhaps, a amber lens. An issue, there are two sides to this LED and a large center heatsink. This makes for a no-light center spot. Since the light is so bright this is a minor issue (for me). Regular bulbs have a center bright/hot spot so this LED design is the opposite. Also, since the LED is two sided they will emit most light either up/down or left/right. In my 1997-2000 Caravan design tail lights I get both up/down and left/right. This is not a big issue since the lenses are a good design and the light both bounces around well and is captured by the Fresnel lens facets and reemitted in a good pattern. Matter of fact the lenses emit is a nice full bright glow instead of having the usual hot spot in the center. Different but nice. [from my red ZEVO review, use the red one behind your red lenses] Remember, if used for the turn signal light you'll have the usual fast blink issue. You'll have to install a 6/4/3 ohm resistor to stop the fast blink.

Good Daytime Running Light for Chevrolet Avalanche...
ZEVO 3157 works well for DRL application in 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche. These vehicles, in addition to other GM trucks, are constantly burning out DRL bulbs. I don't know why GM used a dual filament bulb for this application, since only 1 filament is used. Probably just to save a couple pennies. Maybe these will last longer. The color is bright white LED for great visibility. Much more noticeable than the standard 3157 bulbs. The color temperature is intense but they seem to have less light output (less lumens) than a standard filament bulb. Perfect for DRL but maybe not good for lamps that are used for illumination, such as back up lights.

Don't cheap out, buy the Sylvania
I started with some garbage "iBrightstar" backup lights that were a few dollars cheaper. They looked nothing like the picture, and in fact barely made contact with the terminals in the socket. As a result, only one worked, and it popped out of its poor fitment after a couple of miles. Price determined they were not worth my time to return, refund, or replace. All to often I think some of these companies peddling inferior garbage gamble on just that - send them garbage, they won't even bother to ask for a refund... On to the Sylvania Zevo 3157. Unlike the iBrightstar, this was a direct replacement to the backup lights in a 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo. They actually "snapped" into place more positive that the incandescent bulbs they replaced, which possibly could have been the original factory bulbs. Factory or not, they were at least factory equivalent. The Zevos are WAAAAAAY brighter, and really help backing down the driveway before dawn where I used to struggle to focus on the edge of the driveway in the side mirror. So - they hands down smoke the garbage never-heard-of-them off brands, but they blow away the factory bulbs in brightness, beam spread, and beam distance. The unexpected bonus was that they actually have a more positive fit the the factory bulb. I wont waste my time and money in the future. Don't cheap out, buy the Sylvania, even if you don't spring for the Zevo line.

Not a good design for backup lights. Not bright.
These zevos, they don't have a good output or brightness, and the side output delivery of these bulbs is not suitable for what they are described for; backup light. Very unsatisfied

Bought for turn signals in a JK Wrangler. The bulbs themselves are quite bright and when I checked them while they were lying loose in the socket before reassembling the whole tail light they looked great. Already knew about the need for resistors, so installed some - without them these bulbs created the fast flash and dashboard warning. So that was fine, no issue there. However, after final installation the turn signals as seen from behind were actually dimmer than the regular incandescent Sylania bulb that only cost nine bucks a pair. Turns out that these LED bulbs have a big heatsink at the "top" of the bulb and all of the light from the LED modules are thrown sideways and "down" toward the base of the bulb. Since the JK turn signals don't seem to have internal reflectors this made the final output darker than expected, and actually dimmer than the OEM bulbs. The original glass bulbs put lots of light out the "top" where it needs to be for this application. So be aware of that.

Installed in a 2016 f150. Not close to as bright as the halogen which seems a bit silly for Sylvania. Hyper flashing in both turn signals can be fixed with a resistor but why is that even an issue these days. Sylvania should have made them to be a bit higher wattage or just go buy regular ones for 10 bucks. The lights when locked into their socket also have to sit at an angle to fit back into place so not locked into place fully sealing the gasket. If you’re going to go LED , you may as well get the full tail lights. This may not be the same issue for other vehicles. Just the 2016 f150. Bought them , tossed them.

Much much brighter than originals, and I'm guessing they will last the life of the vehicle as L.E.D. tend to last longer.
