Brilliant bit of kit. Easy to set up and very effective.

Fantastic lights to create an ambient mood in our living room. I love switching the lights off and switching these lights onto blue to really settle me and relax me on an evening. They are super easy to install and the best thing is they are Alexa compatible so I do not even need to switch them on! Well worth the premium price tag.

All installed then went to switch on and one reel didn’t work it had faulty loose wiring . The other reel that worked is great .

The media could not be loaded. These LED strip lights are really good much better than my old ones, the colour's are really nice and bright and more colourful than others I have seen.The app is really easy to use and I had no problems connecting it to the lights, the voice control is brilliant we have used these in our daughter's room connected to alexa as she kept misplacing her controller, but now she doesn't have to worry about it, a controller is also included if you wish to use one.They go really well with music or you can just set them to how you want them either way they look great.I am happy to recommend these lights.

These are pretty good for that little bit of added ambient light where you need it. They can get fairly bright, but they aren't the brightest lights out there. Keep in mind these are decorative, so they aren't for illuminating a space in the same way an ordinary light would.There's some really awesome animation that comes from these lights, since the strips can change each LED colour independently. So you can have a rainbow effect, or beaming light that travels from one side of the strip to another for example. Really nice. The built in mic is awesome too, so you can have the lights change and react to music or noises in the room.There is a remote included, and it works quite well. The control unit that the LEDs plug into have an IR receiver on the end of a wire about 10cm long, so you can prop that up or position it in a way that makes it easier to pick up the remote signals. The remote has a whole bunch of controls on it, from changing the colour, brightness, modes, etc, so it's all on there.The other way you can control these lights is in the Smart Life or Toya App, which are super popular or common for controlling most of the Wifi enabled smart gadgets out there. By setting this up, you'll have more fine grain control of the colour of the LEDs, and can control some of the modes too. The smart functionality and Wifi connection are absolutely spot on, and react immediately to requests every time. Since it's run through SmartLife, you can use the Google Assistant, or Alexa to control the lights as well. Neat.I had only a couple of minor things that I thought stopped these from getting the full 5 stars. There's a very slight hum or buzz that can be heard from the control unit whenever the lights are consuming more power (I guess it's coil whine?). There's nothing wrong with the light, lots of electronics do this. At lower brightness, or in single colour modes, like red, green or blue, it's not audible. If you're on high brightness or/and are using a mixed colour mode, like white, you'll be able to pick up on it. As I mentioned, it's not bad, if there's any other noise in the room, you're not going to hear it, but if it's silent you might pick up on it.Another thing was the lack of dedicated white LEDs. This light produces it's colours with the usual red green and blue, mixture. But when you want white, it's using red green and blue instead of a dedicated white LED. The issue with this is that when you start to reduce the brightness, the white becomes more pink. I've uploaded two pictures as examples. Because of the camera exposure, they look a similar brightness, but the pink one is actually on white mode, but at 1% brightness. The other is 100% and looks like a fairly cool white in person.The last issue was similar to the last one, but with colour. When at 100%, you can navigate the colour wheel on the app, or choose on the remote, and it's a fairly accurate colour that's produced when compared with what you chose. As you lower the brightness though, the colour will start to shift. It's not too bad above 80%, but once you're below that, it's shifted pretty far, with purples looking pink, greens looking yellow, etc. It's not a major issue, you can still get all the colours you want, they just shift a bit so you need to do a bit of tuning to get the colour you want, moving that purple more to the blue side eventually shifts it into the purple you want for example.For the length you get here, the customer modes, the solid smart features, the easy to use remote, and the awesome price point, I think these are worth picking up for sure. The few negatives I found were really small things, and don't ruin the experience.Enjoy.

LED lights are all the rage right now, safe way for kids have fancy lights in rooms to backlighting large TV screens for safer viewing and less eye strain. The market is flooded with vendors, some are better than others. Having bought several sets of LED lights in the past these lights are the cream of the crop so far.First off the size of the LED strip and what it can do means the are mains powered, they cannot be USB socket powered. You get the long light strip on a plastic reel wrapped in an anti-static bag, the mains adapter, the connect/control unit that attaches the lights to the power and finally you get a remote control that easily matches your average TV remote control for buttons and features!Very easy to wire up and for basic operation you don't even need the remote control, simply plug it all together and start playing with the 3 buttons on the power connector, there you enable the sound detector to trigger the light patterns or simply cycle a small set of about a dozen pre-built lighting patterns.The unit really becomes useful when you start playing with the remote control to set the mode types, colours and speed of animation. All the individual LED lights can cover the full spectrum and this allows the entire strip to come up with some incredible patterns across whol spectrums of colours and hues.One warning I will say I'm not susceptible to flashing lights or fits but when I ramped up the speed on a couple of the patterns it did make me feel slightly odd and I had to quickly switch patterns, so if you are susceptible to epilepsy or fits from visual triggers, please be very careful with the patterns you play with and keep the patten speed down or off.The quality of the materials is first rate, proper 3M adhesive tape right down the strip, the power connecters connect together very solidly and cover all the contact points. They INDOOR ONLY so despite the high quality build they shouldn't be left outside for long periods and certainly not used in adverse weather conditions.Sure they're a little pricier than most players in the market but it shows, a very high quality product, made from goo materials and with lots of planning and selections in how they're used. The addition of the sound reaciton mode is superb and if you have the money, buy this set and don't go cheaper, you won't regret it.
