These are excellent at preventing the casual random insertion of devices - but they are not a security solution on their own.So the use case is one of perhaps a meeting room to prevent USB stick insertion or as an element in a defence-in-depth type solution. They also are good at stopping children inserting things that shouldn’t belong.You can remove them with a pair of pliers though

Unfortunately on a MacBook Pro, these usb port blockers push too far into the port, which renders the extraction tool useless. I also then realised that they can be very easily extract with a pair of needle nose tweezers.

They work, very difficult to remove without the key and if the socket is slightly set back they are close to impossible without the key. The only issue is there are only 4 or 5 keys available and they are easy to obtain so any body determined to get into your system will not be stopped. Especially if premeditated.

They are difficult to remove one inserted but they do prevent things falling into the open ‘socket’.

Did what I wanted it to do. Easy. Reliable. Good for those that have exposed USB ports on unattended computers. Note this is defeat-able, but it'll make someone work at it unless they buy the same key
