I sometimes have to walk my 2 horses 1+ mile on a road and wanted better than good control of my horses
The brass chain is long enough to attach to the nose part of the halter wrap once around the nose band and attach to the top part of the halter. It's not as heavy duty as a solid brass stud chain but fir the money....
The chain on here is nowhere near the quality and strength if a solid brass stud chain but its good quality for the price. I have a good stallion but if you have a flight horse, fights being tied etc., I might go with a seperate ,solid brass chain added to a heavy duty lead. I have both but this one works fine for my horse.

Needed to keep my horse from squirming for ferrier
The rope is a little slippery but putting a knot on the end helps. The clip was a little difficult to slide open but it seems sturdy

LOVE this product! I use it as a leash for my Shiloh Shepherd, great length so im not tripping on my dog's heel's if she crosses in front of me. And the chain section doubles as a collar. which is a huge bonus cause she almost never has one on. And many time's I have forgotten to grab a collar before heading out on walks. So having a Leash with this feature has been amazing!I would only suggest using this as a leash for extra larger breeds who are 100+ pounds, like Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards, or Irish Wolfhounds, etc. As I would estimate its a bit too heavy for regular-sized dogs like GSD's or Labradors, etc. (given that this is more made for horses.) - Will absolutely be buying another for my second dog!
