Simply Gorgeous! (almost)
I admit this review is a bit premature but I was so blown away by the presentation I had to write a review even before my first run with these earbuds. Everything about this product screams quality. There is a high level of craftsmanship present whose rival would only be Apple (and even then I like this unboxing experience even more)Everything is so well thought out. I give high praise to not only the engineering team but also the packaging design team for their engaging experience! You'll notice right away you don't just open and discard the top lid. Rather, you flip the hinged box to reveal the earbuds with the backdrop of a black and white photo that instantly put me in the zone of how elegant the product is. It was like opening a Rolex watch case and my perception went from it being just another pair of earbuds to premium yet precious piece of technology. The earbud case itself was strong and solid to the touch. At first, I couldn't figure out why the case was built so solid and smooth (like the perfect skipping-stone beach rock) until I saw that the recharger is actually build into the case itself. Absolutely genius! I even appreciated the little "Power on" case-sticker for that extra level of quickstart ease. The moment I'm done with this review I'm going to head out on my jog but, hands down, out of the MANY tech products I've brought over the last decade, this one, from PLT, is depth at which I wish every company cared about their product--from the industrial design to the graphic design in an absolutely perfect product presentation. After First Run: If it wasn't for the amazing presentation I would have given this one star. Out of the box (and even after the Bright/treble mode setting) the bass is ridiculously over the top. Its like ordering a 9 alarm fire hot wings --at that point its not about the taste or the meat, its just the pain of the heat. That pain was my feeling after using these. Everything from podcasts to relaxation music (I never knew raindrops on a pond could have so much bass!) was like being stuck inside a cave or sticking my head inside a car with a dozen bass speakers. I'm not an audiofile by a long shot. I just need something to keep boredom from kicking in on long jogs, but this is borderline unusable.I am going to try tinkering with the software and maybe even order a different pair as everything else about the product is above and beyond perfect: the ease of use of the app, the great snug fit around the ear (even with glasses), the low sweat accumulation on ear contact points, the solid response on the touch controls, the bluetooth connectivity that never dropped, the soft flexible arm that goes behind the ear, etc. But the sound has so much bass I can't even fake eventually learning to live with it. I really want to love this product so I'm hoping I can figure out how to fix it on my end. Otherwise its back to the drawing board for finding a decent jogging earbuds.

Perfect headphones for running - where were these hiding?
I've been through so many different types of headphones for running, it's hard to keep track. Up to now I thought the best were the bone conduction headphones, but the audio was lacking. I don't like anything stuffed into my ears when running. I sweat buckets in the southern humidity and as soon as just a little sweat gets in and around those types of headphones, they will inevitable slip out. I also hate touch controls when running. It's just too hard to reach up while running and touch headphones just the right way without missing or over-tapping or shifting them so they start falling out.I was looking for headphones with physical controls that sit loosely in the ear but are secure. These fit the bill perfectly. They do have touch functionality for volume control on the left side and that is fine. The right earbud has a clicky button, though, for pausing, skipping songs, and taking calls (actually both buds have clicky buttons, but the left works with touch and the right clicks, but you can reverse them).I think the audio quality is good. I put these on bass mode and they have plenty of range and volume. I can hear some ambient noise from the outside but not a ton, and that is a good thing while running. I have other headphones for sealing out the world and enjoying the finest audio quality. I don't need that while running. The buds also sit perfectly secure while running and don't move at all. They just kind of ride in your ears without being jammed in them, and I love that. All in all, I'm glad I found these.

Great headphones and case, with two odd design choices
I had the original Backbeat fit and loved them and after many years of abuse and sweat, they finally broke and I replaced them with these. I cannot use the more popular in-ear options because they all either hurt my ears or fall out as I sweat. So if you're here I assume you like the over ear design as I do - I can say these are even more comfortable than the originals. I love that there's no strap to bounce on my neck, and even though they buds are heavier, they do not feel uncomfortable or hurt your ears at all. The over ear hooks are incredibly comfortable and flex to your ear, they're not overly rigid like many others. The bluetooth works well with my OnePlus 8 Pro, which has connectivity issues with other headphones (including it's own ear buds). No drop outs or cuts. And as with all their workout headphones, the design DOES NOT block out the world or noise cancel. If you're looking for that DO NOT buy these. These are specifically designed for workouts and active use where you need to hear things like spotters, car horns, people trying to get your attention, etc. They do that wonderfully and with great sound quality, but the obvious trade off is that they do not noise cancel. Don't hate the product for that, it's intentional. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the case doesn't have any way to tell how full it is or if it's charging unless you OPEN it and press a button to check - that's idiotic. All PLT headphones I've ever had have an indicator to tell when they're done charging, including my BB Fit's from 5 years ago. Each of the earbuds have an indicator - but not the actual charging case, which charges the ear buds. Also, the way the earbuds go into the case is BACKWARDS. The left bud goes on the right and vice versa. Given the design, I understand why this is, but it's still REALLY annoying.Overall I love them but I am definitely disappointed by those weird design choices. They make an otherwise perfect product just not quite as good as it should be. I highly recommend them regardless.
