The product is small in size but produces a good level of white noise with different sounds. I did not feel any loop for the white noise. It can be carried internationally with the multiple plugs and looks neat and elegant.

La migliore macchina per il rumore bianco. Fa solo questo ma lo fa con qualità molto elevata. Chi si lamenta del brutto rumore evidentemente non voleva un rumore bianco ma suoni rilassanti della natura ecc. Questo è puro rumore bianco o di ventola che serve espressamente a coprire i rumori e lo fa in modo incredibile, raggiunge un volume elevatissimo senza mai gracchiare. Quando ti abitui risulta anche rilassante. Ma è ovvio che appena lo senti fa impressione pensare di dormirci. Se non dovete combattere con rumori molesti potreste preferire una macchina che fa anche suoni della natura più rilassanti. Ma per il rumore bianco questa è la migliore. È anche importante scegliere il rumore adatto a voi, che sappia coprire i rumori molesti ma che sia ancje abbastanza dolce (ad esempio per me il rumore rosa/verde è insopportabile ma fortunatamente ci sono quelli marrone e bianco oltre a diverse ventole molto rilassanti). Ayuda milagrosa para dejar de dormir. No solo tiene el ruido blanco, que a mi personalmente me ralla. Tiene sonidos de ventiladorcillos de verano, lo cual es más sutil y placentero para irse a dormir que un FFFFFFFFFFFFFF toda la noche. Es genial. Ya no oigo a los vecinos discutir ni a los desgracia2 que cortan el cesped un domingo por la mañana.

This is a really useful bit of kit for those of us who can't sleep in silent rooms, or who are easily disturbed by external noise. It's expensive, but much better-built (in the USA) than the cheaper units, and has been designed with what appears to be genuine thought. The most important plus point is probably that the fan sounds are synthesised on the fly rather than being the looped recordings used on many other units. This makes the Lectrofan much more relaxing to have in the background as there are no repetitions for your brain to fixate on. There's a good variety of noises to select. Many of the fan styles sound quite industrial which might not be to everyone's taste, but there are some gentler ones that work well in a domestic setting. Others have a low-frequency hum or rumble that doesn't sound appealing at first but can actually be useful in blocking out unwanted sounds of a similar frequency like distant thudding music in a hotel. The white noises cover ten different frequencies, giving plenty of options for people who prefer a 'clean' background noise rather than the more realistic fan sounds. It's also worth noting that the volume cranks up incredibly loud for such a small unit - far louder than I could imagine ever needing. The small size also makes it easy to transport - it is much more convenient than carting round a portable fan like I used to do when on holiday.
