Best general use Dehydrator, very compact, EASY cleaning and use
Really glad I got this one while it was on sale. I have a working one already, but it was so enormous and such a brat to clean, and its tray inserts broke easily. Anytime I was done with it, it was a major time consuming thing to clean it up and put it out of the kitchen. I wanted a smaller dehydrator I could keep on the counter, bc I dehydrate a lot of stuff often but still wanted room to do other stuff in the kitchen with my already limited counterspace in a small kitchen. This little guy is amazing!Perfect size, so small and lightweight, that I got a countertop shelf thingy it sits on so I can store other stuff under it! (and it still fits under my kitchen cabinets above it) It's easy to clean, and it's stainless steel mesh trays are such a step up from those clunky plastic ones and easier to clean without snapping! It's also a closed space, and when you sometimes have the lil bug infestation here and there, it saves your food and the dehydrator from them even when not in use. My only qualm is that its timer and heating is far more limited than even the cheap ones making me have to adjust all my degrees and timing in my recipes, but that's not a big deal. Though I much preferred just letting it go overnight while I got a full night's sleep. It doesn't last a full night, so you have to plan it as a day use like a crockpot, and if it's not enough be there to add more time to it.If you're looking for a dehydrator, I highly recommend this one, even as a beginner. Don't bother with those plastic ones, they're infuriating even with the first use. I'm a single person, and there was plenty of room in it for a 2 person family of food. Maybe 2 adults and a small kid, or "disinterested teen that still sometimes snacks on the dehydrated stuff just because it's there", but not really big enough for food quantities more than 2 and a half people. If you live in one of those housevans and are thinking of getting a dehydrator, this is the one for you bc of it's compact size and shelvability in a tight space.I've already made sticky jellies, meat for cat & dog snacks, general food storage, seasoned fruit snacks, etc. and it's all been so much easier to clean up than plastic. And a simple wiping of the interior, with it being white you can see if there still anything left behind. VERY nice. Thumbs up.

This little thing is beyond amazing!!
I got this to replace my super old and cracked round dehydrator. I was initially concerned about the size/capacity of it, but I use it primarily for herbs. It's so fast at dehydrating that even if I have way more than would fit at one time, I could still chop it all at once, and then cycle through batches in a short time. I think the longest it took anything was a few hours, and that was my lavender, with fat flowers.I did buy the silicone liner sheets and cut them up to size, for the smaller herbs. I absolutely recommend doing the same, if you're doing herbs, or you'll have a mess at the bottom when you're done.Everything I've done so far has dried evenly, which is a huge plus over the round style that you have to rotate trays. If you're doing very large quantities of drying, this machine will probably frustrate you.I have only 2-3 plants of my herbs, and I'll harvest a couple handfuls of each as they're ready. I've washed, prepped, and dried in a very short period of time, not overwhelmed with a ton at a time all over my whole kitchen, like I used to do. It's honestly perfect for me, and it's sharp looking, and stows away small.

Quiet And Small But With Drawbacks
I have dehydrated foods for years and have used an Excalibur for large batch drying. I thought this machine would be good for small batches and it is. But with the low wattage it does take much longer to dehydrate foods. so far I have dried apples, rasperries, oranges and frozen strawberries. The controls are easy to use but it's frustrating that the temperature can't be lowered by degrees but it's a minor concern. The steel trays are nice but food does stick to them. I had extra mesh trays for my Excalibur and cut them to size and lay them over the metal trays. I also only received one plastic tray not two so check your order. All in all its a nice machine for light duty and it does save on counter space.

GREAT for one person!
It is extremely compact and doesn't take up much space while in use. However do pay attention to the size as it's smaller than I was expecting. For 1 person this would be great! There's 4 small trays, easy to use, and made good jerkey. However with a couple kids it's almost too small. One other thing is that you are limited on temps only going up 2 150 degrees max..I'm new at dehydrators so if this is common and not super important take that with a grain of salt. I am happy with the dehydrator as it is easy to clean, use and store. Very compact for limited kitchen space, did a good job so far with multiple batches of beef jerkey and pretty quite. Shipped fast and came in good shape.
