Not coated in porcelain
I made my first fire with some hardwood charcoal. Cooked some steaks on it and found the 'porcelain' coating had disintegrated top and bottom. I'm quite concerned about toxicity of this really as I don't know what was torched as porcelain isn't affected by heat. Very concerning

The metal sheet is heavier gauge than the original
I bought a CharGriller Wrangler quite a while ago and needed a replacement ash pan. This is better than the original. Thicker gauge pan - and more and better located welds connecting the grate to the pan compared with the original ash pan. The paint burns off right away and I feel it shouldn't really be there to begin with. I had to bend the hangers a bit as the pan is a little shorter than the original and the hangers themselves are a little longer than the original so I have less height adjustment but that's not much of a problem as I don't usually need to change. On balance it's thumbs way up.
