Do these and other Mitutoyo tools come with initial calibration? If yes, how long is the calibration valid for?

It comes with a certificate of authenticity, but this tool is not adjustable, so I don't think it can be calibrated. It's an excellent quality tool with great value compared to its competition. Trusting Mitutoyo for it's reputation is about all you can do here. If this tool is used in a shop, or for mass production it will eventually wear out if it's heavily used as a Go/No Go guage. Otherwise, it seems like it'll last a lifetime of responsible use.
