Like most, after going through reviews, I was disappointed when these showed up with no strap on the back. If I choose the size and color, I should be getting what is in the picture. It might be easier to update WITHOUT the strap and if they happen to choose a size that has one then it's a bonus. Unfortunately I don't see my son wearing them much as they'll fly off at his age.

Ordered 2 size 6, and one size 2-3 in the reef sandals for my boys. My older boys are a solid size 6, so I figured 6-7 would be good. They are WAY too small, if the sandals came in a 7-8 that would have been better. Guess I need to move to men’s sizes for them. My younger boy wears a 1 so to be on the safe side I ordered a 2-3, way too small. To give a comparison, my younger boy that wears a 1 can put his foot comfortably in his brothers 6-7. These sizes run small. Beware!

I could swear by Reef's, had a pair for myself, lasted 20 years, home use off-course, but a great pair, haven't owned anything better. Even back then they were on the small side. This time round I have bought several pairs, this one particular for my young son and after reading the reviews bought a size up, they are just a tad larger than his feet so they are good for 'now'.Buy 1 or 1.5 size larger if you can get them. The arch support could be higher/larger. Quality is too spongy, not like the ones before. I don't like them spongy, it has to be firm with a stiff cushion, you walk much further with them and the best part was the arch support.I don't think I like the synthetic straps as much, they aren't as comfortable and the inside material of the strap doesn't last that long versus the natural strap is very comfortable, like everything else, had to throw my sandals away, the natural strap was in shreds.Don't quiet understand where the conviction to make something so good has gone too it was there a while ago.These wont last long even if they become hand me downs.You can make them all the same or you don't,cheaper models should be of same quality materials, no matter what.I thank you for the 20 years.

These are nice quality flip-flops and all the color choices are great. My son said they are cushy and comfortable. The thing is, the part that rests between the Market Piggy and the Stay-at-home Piggy is too far back. There was too much spare room above my son's toes and his heel was right on the edge of the back of the shoe so when he starts to walk, his heel is hanging off. I had to send them back.

We really love the quality of reef sandals. They are a little bit expensive but they do hold up for a while. We live in a hot climate and wear flip flops year round. I will say that these run extremely small. The size 4/5 fit my seven-year-old who normally wears a size 12 1/2. The size 13/1 fit my 5 year old who normally wears a size 11. Definitely size up!

We love everything Reef, however our complaint with this pair of slippers is that the ankle strap is attached in a way that really rubs sore spots on our little guy’s wide feet. Maybe narrower feet would do better. We ended up cutting them off (which it’s nice that they are designed in a way that we can be without damaging the remaining shoe) and he’s learning how to wear them without. For a super mover 4 year old, those back straps can be the difference between a great day at the playground and some seriously scuffed knees/elbows/chins.

If your kids have typical chunky kid feet, these will be uncomfortable. One of mine has chubby feet galore and the straps where they meet the sandals rub on the sides of his feet. His feet are flat and like little cave man feet. My other kiddo doesn't have any issues, but his feet are pretty slim. These are quite large. I got the 3/4 and he typically wears 5.5/6. I also got the 5/6 and he wears 6.5/7, so definitely size down! Other than that, they are well made and we haven't had any issues with the straps coming off the sandals or breaking. The bottoms are harder than the typical foam found on flip flops. It has almost a structure to the bottom. Overall, it's a good sandal for toddlers. As fast as their feet grow, they won't be wearing them for long anyways.

Very pleased with these flip flops. Typical Reef quality, the pink is a great shade that goes with many outfits and her swimsuits. Daughter wears a size 3 in sneakers, heeded the advice of others and ordered a 4/5 which fits her well with a little room to grow.

Lovely, genuine label flip flops - perfect IF MY CHILD was a TODDLER!! Ordered a size 2/3 thinking they’d be for 2/3 junior fitting. Got size AGED 2-3Warning - sizing is very misleading..

Well, they arrived but not what is pictured in the ad! I received a pair of toddler flip flops with the back heel strap luckily they fit my one year old but intended for my 9 year old. But of a waste of time now I have to order more and wait again....from a different seller this time

We ordered the 'Monster Surf' style (10/11 UK) for 4year old expecting the back strap to be included (as per photo). However we discovered afterwards the larger sizes dont include the strap.Turns out he didnt need it. No problems walking long distances. He was really happy with them despite been quite fussy with foot-ware. Experience has shown us that it well worth spending the extras on reefs for adults or children. The fit and comfort seem to be on a different level to the other brands.

Perfect fit and excellent quality. Have bought similar flip flops from other shops and the straps always go loose. My son has worn these very regularly and the strap is still tight and keeps the flip flop secure.

A good pair of flip flops, well made and comfortable to wear. However, the picture displayed seems to show an extra strap that goes around the back of the ankle which is not present on the item. Not a problem as they don't need it but seemed odd to advertise it if it's not there.
