Sierra Dawn Campsuds Biodegradable Camping Soap with Insect Deterrent Citronella, Lavender, Peppermint Oils - Camp Dish Soap, Shampoo, Body Wash

I got this because I was going camping at a site that didn't have any showers/running water. The only place that I could "bathe" and "clean" was in the lake and I of course didn't wanna use bad soaps for fear of harming wildlife. This soap did a good job keeping me clean and small utensils/dishes clean. It sudded well and didn't seem to leave any nasties in the water. I loved the smell too, but it definitely did not deter any mosquitos at all. I know that it's not meant to be a repellant, but it didn't help either. Overall, good to keep myself and belongings clean and smells good.

This soap is amazing, smells good and great that it’s biodegradable. It’s small and easy to pack away. Even though the bottle is pretty small you don’t need much to get the job done. Highly recommend!

I use it on long camping trips in lakes or rivers. I've used it for hair, skin, and clothing at it works great for all. Also smells great. No it's not as good as shampoo, soap, and laundry detergent and a washing machine but it's great as a biodegradable 3 in 1. I also tried using it as bug repellant, it does not work for that. I'll save you the long story but I had a night in hell sleeping outside because of mosquitos. I made tent with a tarp just big enough to fit my face and poured campsuds all over myself and my pillow and it did nothing to keep mosquitos out. As a biodegradeable cleaning agent it gets 5/5 though.

This claims to be a concentrated soap and while you do get suds with just a small amount used, it doesn’t remove oils and grime as well. I used about 1/2 teaspoon per liter of water and that seemed to work pretty good. Smells really nice and it does work for most things, though I don’t recommend it for hair unless you really need to.

Just spent two weeks in Utah in the green river. Needless to say, it was a filthy dirty trip. This was an excellent multi purpose soap. Smells amazing and in general just helped you feel a little better after sweating and being in dirty water all day. If you have long hair, you definitely will need some conditioner later, but overall did an awesome job. This was also great to scrub clothes and helped fight off some nasty mosquitos and deer flies.

Great product that I'm still using. Smells great as an added bonus.

Fave use for camping

MOSQUITOS LOVE ME and I fight for my life every summer. I took this to Thailand with me. I have a friend who also just went before I did and said the mosquitos were the size of quarters and everywhere. I used this soap every day and didn't get bit once in the 9 days I stayed there. This stuff is AMAZING!!! I didn't even need to use any of the insect spray I bought with me either.

This doesn't work as well as deet but certainly better than the gentler bug repellent sprays. If you soap up right before going outside it does a good job repelling and I'm the one of the lucky ones that misquotes love to bite.

Probably my naivety but I assumed you could use this in a lake. Right in nature, turns out you have to dig a hole and use it separately from the water source . Found this out too late. I was already camping and hadn’t brought a shovel. Luckily I hadn’t used it yet but just putting this here for future shoppers
