the kettle itself lifts from the base making it cordless. The bottom stays cool so you can set it down on any surface without fear of burning said surface. The Base however is where the cord is. It's as wide as the kettle but pretty thin, about a 1/4 inch thick.

So, where do we go to get a repair electrical module for the bottom of the kettle? Mine won't stay on, shts off after 2 seconds, hardly a year old!!
