Career electrician here, 35+ yrs, so take this to heart. I'm in the US and had to provide power to an industrial burner from Italy . The burner needed 220 1-phase, but it needed one leg to be grounded. It needed a 220 volt hot and a neutral, I believe for flame detection. In any event, this was an elegant solution, but from the factory it was internally reverse wired. If you plugged it in and selected 115 volt input, on the front receptacle the neutral was hot. This caused a variety of problems with the burner that were corrected by removing the case and swapping black / white. Besides that well build, and I have a happy burner with 237 volts.

So easy to use. I bought an Nespresso machine in England and didn't even think about the electric conversion, so got home and went to plug it in and was like uh oh. But bought this step up step down and now I make expresso with my beautiful periwinkle colored machine from London. So happy!

It worked as described. Using it to power an arcade game that runs 220V and I'm using 110V. Works as described. It's' quiet as well.

I bought this for a coffee make that I brought from Europe. The coffee maker stated it is 1450 watts so I bought this model that is rated at 1500 watts. The unit keeps popping the fuse, so I had to return it for another transformer. I am sure it would work fine for smaller less watt appliances.
