Difference between aCtivair and other Duracell batteries?

Ordered Duracell batteries pr70 size 10 from premium batteries thru Amazon, they are slightly thicker then genuine activator batteries,make for a tight fit in hearing air and am afraid they might damage unit. Are these genuine? If so why are they fatter?

Yes, it's 1.45 volts. I usually just use the designation #312 for the batteries that fit my hearing aids.

Are all hearing aid batteries mercury free?

All hearing aid batteries that are zinc air batteries are mercury free. The zinc is used instead of Mercuric oxide. I'm not sure if there are any other makers with the old mercuric oxide, but when you see zinc based they are mercury free, and these are.
