so far so good - day 3 & 4
So our 6 year old brought lice back from her mom's house about 2 months ago. The OTC treatments don't seem to be doing their job very well so I suspect they are super lice because she seems to keep getting them over and over again. The last time she came to stay, we found more nits & thankfully I had bought this kit *just in case* and was at the ready! She has LONG thick coarser hair so I was worried there would not be enough foam. We actually had PLENTY! The next day, no live bugs and only a few nits were left. However it seemed that everything went from her to her little sister (3) who was then crawling with bugs & full of nits (we have been using the shampoo on her since the first time big sister came home with lice so im honestly surprised she got them at all). We are on day 3 of daily treatment & combings for our 3 year old and today she did not have a single nit! The first day she had at least 30 live bugs we combed out & countless nits. The foam didn't seem to kill the bugs but definitely brought them away from the scalp so we could get them easier. I haven't washed her hair yet & have used the treatment 3 days in a row & she has not had any irritation of her scalp. REALLY hoping to knock these bugs out for good this time! 3 days of using the foam on our 3 year old and 2 days in a row on our 6 year old and I still have not run out of the foam. I did buy another bottle tho for future use if needed. So far so good! I am planning to do daily combing for at least a week to be sure i got every last egg. Fingers crossed for us and all the other families out there that have to deal with this!!!! Good luck!!

My go-to product for lice!
This is a great set to have on hand just in case. We went through two rounds of lice last year because the school wasn't being diligent about notifying parents so it was just being passed around. I love that I can use the foam on consecutive days and don't have to worry about the chemical burns or smell that come with the other stuff. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE understand that the ONLY way to really get rid of lice is mechanically - i.e., a lot of elbow grease and patience. The comb that comes with this set is wonderful and effective. It pulled out the new, itty bitty hatchlings that the nurse's electronic comb missed. The foam has a nice smell, as does the spray, and they make it easier to comb through hair. The one clip was not enough for our daughters' hair so I used a bunch of the smaller metal clips. Here was my method:Fill bathroom sink with 4"-6" of HOT HOT water. After we foamed per the directions, I gathered a small section of hair (max 1" square) and slid comb in right at the scalp and ran the comb down to the end of the strands. You have to get as close as you can to the scalp because the nits (eggs) are usually within 1/4". Then I vigorously swished the comb in the hot water after each "run", tapped extra water off on side of sink, and held the comb up to the light to see if anything was stuck in there still. Each section of hair was combed this way four times (once from each direction). If the comb came back clean from all directions (you can see the bugs in the water), then I'd pin up that section and move to the next section. If not, I'd repeat the process on the section of hair until it came back clean. Really focus on the hair line, at the center of the spiral in the back of the head (where cowlicks usually form) and around the ears. They love those places. My youngest daughter has thin, fine hair and I could get through hers in about 30 minutes. My oldest has a LOT of hair and it took me about an hour to do hers. I just gave them a chapter book and had them read out loud to me while I did it. Or give them a table to watch a movie. Also, if you have a bar stool, that works better than having them sit on the toilet so you aren't always twisting and bending down to rinse the comb.We bought the shampoo as well - it suds amazingly well - just for good measure. I don't know that it or the spray really keeps them away but why not?

Lions and tiger and lice... oh my
Up until a few days ago I was only creeped out by ticks and leaches. When my youngest started scratching her head I initially dismissed it as her new shampoo. To my horror it was lice. I tried the typical lice killers but it didn’t seem to work well with the nits. After a recommendation from a co worker I got this. It’s super easy. Just a few pumps into the hair and mush it around and then using the super awesome terminator comb, all of those little nits combed out before my eyes on the first pass (instead of the 3rd or 4th). Just a note this does not kill the lice. It just slows them down to come them out. It was the first time in 2 days that I went to bed feeling confident I got everything. I used the comb on both myself and my kids. We have fine hair and it worked nicely. Although I hope I never have to use it again I would buy it again!Update: Second outbreak in our house and I bought another bottle of the lice good-bye. Works great on getting rid of the nits and lice. Just keep a bowl with rubbing alcohol next to you so you can shake the comb off in there between brushes to kill the bugs that you just combed out.

AMAZING! After using the Fairy Tales kit we will NEVER by the lice kits from the store again!
With "Fairy tales" I was able to use it even though I had already used a generic lice (full of chemicals) kit! Fairy Tales smells good and the no-drip mousse was AMAZING and SO much less "yucky" and messy then the generic liquid in the store bought kit.AND you don't have to wash out the Fairy Tales mousse out, which was one less step in a already tedious task!!!The metal "Nit free terminator" in this Fairy Tales kit was FANTASTIC!!!!We used coconut oil and the "Nit terminator" and, it literally got out live lice, nits, and eggs the that throw away plastic comb from the store bought kit didn't touch!! I couldn't believe how sturdy and big the comb was,AND this kit comes with a conditioning spray that we'll be using regularly to keep these dang lice away during the school year!I originally bought and treated my family with the generic walmart kit with the "shampoo" and the gel and the tiny plastic lice comb (which keep in mind was the same price as the Fairy Tales kit).My hair is thick and shoulder length and my 9yrs old's hair is about neck length and thin. The plastic comb barely got anything out of my son's hair, and was unusable in my hair. It was a waste for me and didn't do much for my son. After using the Fairy Tales kit we will NEVER by the lice kits from the store again!

Amazing. Only problem the brush was missing.
I was excited when I received this product. I've been hearing so much about it. So I finally decided to try it. My girls have lice and my older daughter has thick hair so I had to do something. When I unboxed it, it came with everything except the brush. So I was kind of stuck. The good thing I had an old brush. When I applied it to my daughters hair it was easy to apply, but the scent wasn't pleasing. Right away I saw the lice climbing to the top. I left it on my girls hair for an hour. I was amazed to see them all coming out. I am happy with this product. Im pretty sure I would of had better results if I would of used the brush it was suppose to come with. So far I'm happy with the results will add product again in about a week. All other products smelled to strong or didnt work.
