The Flash - Season 2 (DVD ) 2016

If you are hooked on the whole superhero genre then it doesn't really matter what it says here. For the record, these are my views. First I should say that The Flash was always my favourite of the DC comics and the one I always bought as a boy. I thought the acting in this season, as in Season 1, was excellent and some of the new ideas and story lines were very imaginative. The downside is that 23 episodes is far too many and there is a lot of padding. Most if not all episodes had those meaningful one-to-one conversations that seem to go on for ages, and with the introduction of Wally, there were even more opportunities for this. Most disappointing was the degeneration in mumbo-jumbo with the "speed force" taking on some kind of intelligence. I just stopped caring after a while. No doubt Wells will be crowbarred back into the next season somehow and maybe all the others. I don't think I'm going to be buying any more.

. . excellent, I was let down by the last order. The Flash: Season 2 boxset came with all save one disc loose, dirtied and scratched with a case meant for one disc only. I am assuming the previous owner to be very careless, maybe nonchalant in the well keeping of his discs. I can only say that I am 'glad' that someone can be such a spendthrift. and chuck around and damage items that cost a deal of money in such a way! As soon as I saw the state they were in, I spent out on a new boxset and luckily got 50 percent off automatically.

For me the best DC to TV adaptation. Smart, witty and fun to watch. Some cool baddies and some ingenious methods for doing evil. Best seen in a binge session, with snacks and drinks and pizza.

If I could only watch one television series it would be The Flash. Classic superhero series with the great Grant Gustin as the star, keeping it zany but always making the viewer want more. A series which can be watched time and time again. A real superhero.
