38mm or 40mm not a great difference, I opted for the 40mm size, I guessed right, fitted perfectly, sturdy, well made, easy depth adjustment, really good price, would certainly buy again, but all depends on how long the stopper lasts, only time will tell about that.

Sink plug is ok not the best quality and arrived a bit distorted

Finally a sink plug which has the right length, as described the screw mechanism which elongates the pin extends to about 6-7 cm. The top fits snug into the sink hole so that shaving water finally stays in the sink without draining too quickly.

Unfortunately there was insufficient adjustment on the item. An extra centimetre would have made all the difference.
