How do I know how often to do a bath?

Detoxification is a gradual process and many factors come into play such as age, general health, diet, and the total burden of toxins that lie within the body; patience is the key when embarking on any successful detoxification protocol. We suggest a series of three to six baths, in the beginning, spacing them a week or two apart depending upon the user’s health status. Thereafter, do a ‘spring cleaning’ detox bath and an ‘autumn cleaning’ detox bath to keep heavy metals and environmental toxins out. It is important to note that toxic substances absorbed over many years may be stored deep within body tissue. For these deeply entrenched toxic conditions, a more rigorous and long-term plan to detoxify the body may be necessary.

how hard is it to clean the bathtub after using the mud?

Provided the clay is properly hydrated, it is a relatively simple clean-up process. Most of the material will drain out with the bath water. Should any residue remain in the tub, it will easily come off with water and light scrubbing. Once the bath has been emptied, run warm water from the faucet for 1 to 2 minutes to clear any remaining clay from the drain. After you have soaked for your desired length, we recommend taking a tepid shower to rinse the skin and remove any clay residue. We also recommend moisturizing your skin post bathing with a natural, chemical-free moisturizer to relieve any dryness and be sure to drink plenty of mineral-rich spring water afterward as well.

Is it safe for plumbing ?

I have heard very different opinions on this from house inspectors. They say that even if it doesn't mess up your drains/sewage immediately or obviously, it will ABSOLUTELY mess with the drains somewhere down the line, if not yours. This goes for any clay like substance. I REALLY want to use the product in a full body tub and hope just a foot bath will suffice; the water to be tossed in a rock bed, away from plants, when done. Or possibly try it in a kiddy pool situation where I can dump in the rock bed after. Maybe this product specifically is different but from what I've heard, you realllly don't want to be letting this ever go down the drain, even if followed with water after.
