How long does it spin?

I’m returning mine, spins for a minute, but it’s not heavy enough so if you try to spin it it slides across the desk. I don’t recommend it

Is it safe for kids? Is the metal hard enough to injure them or break glass?

The part's don't come apart easily. So it's safe in that regard. But if thrown, it will probably break glass, and it could injure them if it's also thrown. It's meant to be a desk toy just to spin around :)

Does this come packaged in a box?

Yes, mine came in a little box just big enough to hold the item.

I expected a bigger sphere, the one I got looks a bit too small approx. 5 cms diameter max. Anyway I am happy with the product.
