Gentle Bees Wood Conditioner Pro (food grade natural varnish and butcher block cream for wood and bamboo)

I wanted to try this product as the Absynnian oil mixed with bees wax sounded very interesting. The product has no scent, which is nice. It's also fairly solid which makes me think a small amount will go a long way. When I applied it to my cutting board and followed the instruction, it did not leave any oily residue and left the wood looking beautiful. I bought Gentle Bees to try it on a brand new, large teak cutting board that I purchased. The cutting board came with a paper band/wrapper on it that had absorbed the natural oils and left a thick visible streak where the teak wood had dried out. After the first application of Gentle Bees, the streak was nearly gone and the wood looks so much better. I think the streak will entirely disappear after a second application. I also like it that the oil and conditioner are mixed into a single jar, as other butcher block products require purchase of both an oil and a conditioner. The product instructions say to use it weekly, but I will probably use it every other week on my better items.

I like that Gentle Bees does not contain mineral oil. I have several boards for prepping and serving food on. Antique, reclaimed, new flat & endgrain. I keep them all conditioned with Gentle Bees. It needs to be applied more often thanmineral oil board butter. I rub it on with my hands and let it sit for a while. I would do the same with the other kind. The consistency takes a little getting used to. I would recommend this product.

This is a wonderful product! I have been using it on my wood cupboards and some of my furniture pieces and I really love how it conditions the wood. It is food grade so I am going to use it on my wooden cutting boards also. A bonus is that it is all natural and smells heavenly! I will definitely buy it again and I highly recommend!

Used this for the first time for my baking board, and it worked great. I applied it with some paper towels, let it sit for some time and wiped off the remainder. Now the board almost repeals water and looks happy. - Also, the product smells very pleasant.

Quality stuff here, should last for many of our wood projects around the house. Hope they paying these bees OT lol

it is a nice natural wood treatment... a very small hint of a smell which is great for sensitive noses (like mine). Leaves unfinished wood polished and water resistant without being tacky.
