I have two boys--older is 9 and approx 58" tall, younger is 7 and approx 49" tall. Is the MX650 too big? What about MX500?

My son is turning 9 and is about 58 inches tall. We have the MX500 and it is too small. We are looking into the MX650 - do you think this will be too big for him? Thank you!

I mistakenly put chain saw chain oil on the chain of my son's bike. Now the chain just spins when he hits the gas and does not rotate tire. Any ideas?

The chain saw should not of affected the assembly. Problem is one of two things. First the chain may have just come of the front or rear sprocket. Just push down on chain tensioner and put chain back on. Secound sounds like the Freewheel mechanism (racketing system) may have broken. This has not happened to me (yet) but I hear it is a common problem especially with older MX (2-3yrs old or older models). The rear sproket will turn but back wheel will not turn with it. Only way to fix is to buy complete rear wheel assembly (only way it comes) but does come with new wheel, tire, tube, sproket, completely ready to go. "Razorama.com" sells them on line for $45.00 + shipping. Hope this helps. Gary..

My son will be 11 soon. He's about 4 ft 68lbs. Not sure which would be better for him the 500 or 650. Thoughs?

For our sons 7th birthday we got him the 650 he is almost the same size and has had no problems handling it. It is about a hundred pounds so if he dumps it it can be a small struggle to get it back up.

You need to assemble handle bars and front tire. Fifteen minutes max.
