Taylor Guitar Neck Relief Measure & Adjust Kit (MN610)

In 5 minutes, the neck relief was adjusted, and a noticeable playability improvement on my Taylor acoustic from its factory setting, especially around the upper frets. Quick and easy to use.

This worked out great for me. I used the MusicNomad Truss Rod Neck Relief Measure and Adjust Kit Compatible with Taylor Guitars (MN610) and it seemed really easy. I recently upped the gauges of my strings on my acoustic and needed to adjust the neck a little bit for better action. Mission success! Buying this kit was way cheaper than bringing it into a professional. I like that it also can measure the strings for electric and bass. That will come in handy for my electrics. I'd buy it again.

I bought these tools to adjust the truss rod on my Taylor guitar. The tools are very helpful in setting up your string height adjustment. The gauge feelers give you different sizes depending on your instrument. For example, they have a gauge for acoustic, electric and bass guitars. The truss rod tool is great for making adjustments and it has a Phillips head screwdriver on the other end that allows you to remove the plate that covers the truss rod, so this is an added bonus to have this tool. The feeler gauges also come with a tool that resembles a big Bass pick that you slip under the fret board. This allows you to get the perfect string height adjustment. The instructions to use the tools are very good. I also watched some YouTube videos on how to adjust the truss rod and make string height adjustments so that helped as well.

I purchased some kits that had cheaper tools in them. I ended up replacing all of those with the music nomad products. They were great, and they are great instructions on YouTube for using them. They make it very simple. Buy these the first time and save yourself the money.

I was so excited about this product, as I need to learn to make truss adjustments on my Taylor GS Mini. Despite what the description says, this truss rod wrench will NOT work on it. I don't know if the wall of the socket is too big or what, but it will not fit over the nut. I'm returning the wrench and will get one from the Taylor Company.Update: A rep from MusicNomad responded to email about the issues I was having. He said "The cavity the truss rod nut sits in seems to be too shallow on the back side for the wrench to line up properly over the nut. We have run into this a few times and are working on a future solution. I suggest you return the wrench and acquire a truss rod wrench from Taylor." My suggestion, if you have a Taylor GS Mini, don't order this truss rod wrench.

Nice design and the guage is clearly marked with easy to understand instructions. The "pick capo" is really just a bass pick but I get the intended use. The pick capo I reckon can double as a pick if you needed it to.

You would think that Taylor would give you a wrench when you spend that kind of money on a guitar.The wrench fits and does its job. The relief measure certainy helps to tune up your instrument.
