I've been buying Contigo Sheffield insulated vacuum-sealed water bottles for several years. They keep my water colder longer than anything else I've tried. But I was frustrated by two design flaws in the lid. First, the vacuum-seal: when a bottle is vacuum-sealed, anytime you take water out by drinking through the straw, air needs to be able to get in to replace it, otherwise you're actually sucking against the bottle's vacuum seal to remove your liquid. The old lid would constantly stop allowing air in, which was super annoying. Luckily, with a lifetime warranty, anytime a lid stopped working I could contact Contigo and they'd send a new one. But it takes like 6-8 weeks (which is ridiculous). Second, the opening was too small to accommodate typical "ice-and-water-in-the-door" ice cubes. I had to dispense the ice into my hand, then put it into the water bottle. ANNOYING. This redesigned bottle seems to have fixed both issues the old lids had, and my kudos to the engineer who solved these design flaws! It's working so great, I've already tossed all my old bottles and only use this new one. I also really like the locking feature -- more than once, the old bottles popped the straw open while they were in my bag, soaking the contents (because they really weren't 100% leak-proof when the straw was open). This new one remains locked and that's super helpful. Finally, the clip on the lid is a big help when I need an extra hand. It's too heavy to clip to my purse, but I've clipped it to my bicycle before a long ride, and that worked pretty well.

I have had one of these bottles for the last 4, almost 5, years. This is probably my 7th one. I also have the kids stainless steel versions of these for my two littles. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this bottle and how much it's helped me keep up with my water intake. It stays cold, all day long!! Every time I refill it, I add a couple more ice cubes and I'm good to go! The only thing I'm kind of disappointed in, is that this one I ordered came with a pretty nice dent on the bottom edge. 😔 I thought about sending it back, but our puppy chewed off the spout on my other one and I don't want to go another day without my water bottle. I'm sure it'd eventually have a dent in it within the next couple weeks anyways because...well...toddlers. I recommend this to everyone I know because it's that good!! I've never had a problem with it leaking but have experienced my last bottle, the one the puppy chewed, wasn't intaking air like it should have been during drinking. It was hard to drink the water out of...but that's the only one that had that problem-im kinda glad Belle chewed off the spout so I had a reason to get a new one. 😉

I have used these bottles for a good 8 years every single day! I drink green tea. . I can NOT say anything bad. The straw is best part because I tend to dribble. Usually they are stainless grey but this is a new solid color. LOVE! While this is meant for cold not hot,that’s what I need. It stays cold much longer than stated. You can drop it,I’m clumsy,and usually won’t hurt it too bad. If you want to overspend and don’t want the straw,or the spill proof lock,by all means spend $$$. I love these and gift them also. Bonus? Handle acts as a carabiner. I keep my keys there so I hav them handy when out.

Don't know how well it works but I have never in my life received something thru the mail that smelled as awful as this.. We were in the yard when I opened the envelope the box was in. The second I opened, I could smell that smell that's in my top five of stink! It wreaked off patchouli.. Not a little.. But A LOT! I pull it out of the package and now.. IT'S ON ME!!! This thing isn't dishwasher safe.. But it's made two trips. Still smells like that crap! And now.. SO DOES MY DISHWASHER!! AND DISHES!! I don't know if someone thought it would be funny.. But I ain't laughing. I get anything else from Amazon like that and I will go back to using Walmart. It's that bad! I'm sure it's not the products fault. But I'm seriously pissed. If I'm smelling that, I better at least get to see Janis Joplin!

My beverage stays the same temperature. I can clean it fairly easily. It’s sturdy, lightweight, and simple to open and fill. I can clip it to my shoulder bag smoothly.But. Not only can I drink and close it again without touching the mouthpiece thanks to a button, the entire mouthpiece is covered when not in use. This seems so simple, and yet it’s so rare. The most sanitary and slosh-proof answer I’ve found.
