Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are great! Reception is excellent and it allows my radio antennas to be relocated to bug-out-bag or plate carriers. Worth every penny! If you are running long antennas, these are a must have! Quality and value is great, threading is clean and tight, fits both of my radios perfectly!

Extension cable for Baofeng radio
I purchased this for my so I could put an antenna on the back of my vest getting it away from my arms and out of my face. It us used on my Baofeng UV5R radio and was long enough to get around me as I am a thicker guy. The only problem I see may happen is dirt or water may get into the radio where the cable screws in, I am still trying to figure out how to fix that.

So far...working good.
This cable worked in routing my ham radio antenna to the back of my pack and still keep radio on my shoulder strap. I was tired of the whip getting in my way (and was constantly fearful of breaking antenna). The 3' was plenty to weave cable in MOLLE around to back and secure antenna on pack. I have only used It a few times prior to weather turning...so I do not know how robust it is yet I do know it worked for the four times I used it - with other gear being smashed against it (scouting events). I have not noticed any change in signal strength either when using the cable. I did order another one as a backup though.

Good cable
The female connection end to the radio is long. I guess the locking ring is use as a stopper. It all in all it works. Right length for my purpose
