Vanity Fair Women's Anti-Static Nylon Half Slip for Under Dresses (Discontinued Colors)

I am absolutely delighted with these half slips! I purchased two black and one neutral in one size larger than I would normally take because I wanted a [very slightly] fuller shape to the slip.....they work perfectly! Although one size smaller would work just fine, I really needed more swish factor, and I got it! The side slits are well made and keep a full walking pace an easy option, even at the smaller size (which I already own). This is not listed as a non-cling product, but I find each slip, both my older ones and these newer ones to have no clingy issues at all. I spray them with some Static Guard in the winter, just in case. It is often tough to find this 34 inch length that measures true to length, and these always do! A great find here on Amazon......saves me trudging around the shops to find just what I want!

Vanity Fair has made a very high quality wonderful half slip. I am only five feet tall so I was able to choose from several shorter lengths . I am planning to purchase a slightly longer version for my longer skirts. Very pleased.

This is a beautiful slip. It is not bulky at the waist nor is there too much gathering so it would fit well under skirts without adding bulk. I like that there are slits on each side so you can walk easier since this is a slim fitting slip. I gave it four stars instead of five because it is so much longer than what the picture shows. I am 5 foot five and it comes almost to my ankles. I am keeping it for my maxi dresses and skirts but it does limit its wearability for the dresses that only come below my knees.

Love this comfortable half slip. Fits true to size. Great feeling fabric - does not cling to the clothes. The side slits are a great feature allowing full movement when wearing a skirt or dress. The length is just right. Nicely made.

This item is exactly what I wanted – – a very short slip to wear under knee-length dresses. Double check that you have the right size and length before ordering because the size on the screen defaults to a M (medium)-- it took me two attempts to order the correct length and size.

I'm a bit torn about this review and would have liked to have given a 3.5. I bought this slip in an XL in black. Sort of positives: I wear either an L or an XL in underwear and wanted the slip to be loose and move around because it's hot where I live (Africa) and I also want more modesty. I find it is really big for an XL, so you might want to size down, unless you're looking for a slip that's practically a dirndl. It's not too huge, though, and the elastic is stretchy so that it fits my waist size and the fabric drapes softly (but not in a clingy way, not at all!) over my hips and legs, so it won't add unwanted bulk. Sort of negatives: The fabric is really, really thin and surprisingly sheer. Luckily for me, I bought black and it is quite loose and has a lot of extra fabric. So I am hoping it will do its job (which, for me, is preventing thinner skirts or dresses from showing my legs or other particulars). On the mitigated plus side, it will definitely be cool in the heat! Once again, I chose black, and I honestly doubt that this fabric in white or beige would work (i.e. provide any amount of opacity). I haven't washed it yet, so I don't know how it will hold up. I will try to come back with an update if it falls apart. I am expecting it will hold up, though, because I have bras and panties from Vanity Fair and they are all excellent quality, so perhaps this is just a fabric that is thin, but strong. I would be shocked otherwise. Time will tell.

Needed a light slip for under a white summer dress. Great value. Simple. Comfortable.

So this is my first time buying a slip (I am 23) so I was a bit nervous buying one, but I had a couple sheer long skirts that I want to wear to work. And this is perfect!!! The stretch was just enough for me to breath, but tight enough that I’m confident its not going to fall down! My burgundy underwear was unable to be seen through the slip and I couldnt see the slip OR my underwear when I finally put my skirt on! Also the slits on the side make it so easy to walk in :) I would 10/10 recommend buying this!!

I was worried when I ordered , but the fit and fabric of the slip are exactly as advertised. Perfect for my 32inch long, biased cut, silky skirt .
