Aquasana Shower Filter | Chrome Wand | Reduces 90% Chlorine | AQ-4105CHR

I’m really impressed with the Aquasana Filtered Shower Head! The flow rate gives me great water pressure, and the up flow design makes sure the water flows smoothly without clogging. (I did have to put plumbers tape on where you attach it, as it leaks a tiny bit, but overall I really enjoy this and think it was a good purchase). What really stands out for me is how it’s helped with the itching I used to feel after showering with regular water. The carbon and copper-zinc says it filters out over 90% of chlorine, and I’ve noticed a big difference in my skin, and it’s much less dry and irritated. That's a huge win for me!! Showering with it is honestly a pleasure. My skin feels softer, and my hair doesn't feel like it has buildup on it anymore. The filter lasts up to 6 months or 10,000 gallons they say, and replacing it is super easy. Installation was easy, and it only took about 10 minutes minutes to set up. (that includes adding the extra plumbers tape too). Overall, I’m really happy with this. I've used it every day for 3 months, and it works good for me. If you’re looking for something to improve your skin and hair, this is definitely worth trying!

The wand is a light weight plastic cheap looking chrome. The water spout settings are not of good quality either. When you turn the dial it's nearly impossible to get a "normal" shower flow. I actually have to slap the head of the wand to get the water to flow normal. I do love the intense massage stream for sore muscles, hosing down the shower and washing my pups. Overall I like the filtration system but the manufacturer needs to upgrade their wand ASAP. Before I purchased the filtration system my bath water was BROWN! All residents received a notification about contaminants and persons with autoimmune disease and/or the elderly needed to seek medical attention. My son and I both have autoimmune illnesses. I will definitely keep buying this product and I hope the manufacturer replaces the wand because it is truly horrible.

I have only used it once, but I am sold! The water where I am is so hard. Surface water that smells like soil and rot. I was looking for something to take care of that and major contaminates. Clearly Filtered discontinued their shower filter so this was the next best thing I could find. It took minutes to install and flush and I was up and washing!!! I will gladly pay for filters and will never go without something like this again! Edit: I have now had this item for months. My skin has improved significantly and so long as I live I will have filtered shower water too. Will continue to use.

My husband I bought this product and it worked great for the first two months. After two months, we started seeing a fine black dust appearing on the shower floor which indicates that the carbon filter was leaking. I recalled that we bought another Aquasana shower filter in the past and we experienced the exact same issue. At that time, I called Aquasana customer service and they explained that the carbon leaks once it a blue moon and they shipped us a replacement filter. Well...the Aquasana replacement filter also began to leak carbon after about 6 weeks. Over the years, we have used several different brands of shower water filters but Aquasana is the only brand that has issues with the carbon filter leaking. We have tried three Aquasana shower filters and all three have leaked carbon. Lesson learned.

We ordered two of these full products with the extension head included. While there are some pros and cons to speak of; imo, the pros significantly outweigh the cons to the point where I can feel comfortable giving it a five star review. Primarily this is because we purchased them shortly after the cold weather and snow hit across Texas, leaving millions without power, hundreds of thousands without water, and pretty much everyone was put under boil water notices. While we were one of the few lucky ones to have kept our power/water, we did have to boil our water until Prime delivery could get these products (plus a few others) to make the process less daunting. We only had to use these for a couple days before our city was able to get our pipes fixed enough to lift the boil water notice. At first I thought it was a waste of money but as I continued using it for daily showers, I began to notice a substantial improvement in the previously exorbitant amount of dead skin from the heavily treated water. I also thoroughly cleaned our showers after the boil notice lifted, and a month later there’s still no aggregate mildew, lime or heavy residual water deposits! I didn’t even know that our city has such a heavily treated water system until I got curious enough to read the environmental report from last year that stated that our drinking water was above standards for cleanliness, however it also said that this was primarily due to the number of high level chemicals used to treat it. These chemicals apparently have a tendency of accumulating on the surfaces of sinks/showers/grout etc., as well as can cause excessively dry skin! Thankfully this product was just what we needed to overcome a problem that we didn’t even know existed! As for the cons, whether it is the direct shower head or the extension head, it is located directly adjacent from the large filtering system. This unfortunate placement was something of an oversight I’m assuming since you can’t adjust it to fit the specifications of your shower stall or tub. The good news is that it came with adapters that allowed us to continue using our original extension head which is separate from the primary head and therefore can be placed at our discretion for optimal directional control of our water output. Our upstairs shower however didn’t have the separate extension head, so that one sprays outward from a very high angle to the opposing side of the tub shower. Additionally the water pressure with the included head wasn’t that great. That said, I’d definitely recommend the filtering system without the additional head attachments. Just get the adapter for an extension handle or an adjustable head.

Doesn't have a nice showering effect like I was hoping it would. Seems to be more like a garden hose. Also, very heavy on my plumbing. I'll use it for now, but when the cartridge wears out, I'll be putting back in my $9.99 shower head from Home Depot. Too pricey.

So far, so good. Good deal and water is refreshing, lighter than before, not that difficult to install.

Bought 2 of these for my brother. He has had eczema all his life and finally realized it was the chlorine in the city water that was causing flare ups. Since using this filter for showering, his eczema has significantly decreased. We have a year of history with this product and feel it has made a significant positive difference. Very, very happy.
