I was looking for a metal trashcan to fit in the under-sink kitchen cabinet. I needed a lid for odors, and because we have naughty cats. This pail with lid fits a standard 5-gallon trash bag. The lid gets caught up on the handle bracket, but that's easily fixed with a pair of pliers. This pail works perfectly for what I needed.

I bought these for outside. I am a smoker and needed something to put my butts in. They will work for that. They did come dented and that is why I took off a star.

I was pleased with the size and sturdiness if this bucket.

I like these pails. I like the way they look. Just know before you order, the lids sit atop the rim of the bucket nicely in their groove but they are basically held in place by gravity.

I probably should have guessed, based on the price, that these would not be the most robust galvanized buckets on the market. The metal is a thin gauge and the buckets tend to warp a little more easily, which can cause the lid to not sit flush. However, the were serviceable for my project (in-ground compost buckets). I wish the mfr would do away with the plastic on the bail and the lid.

My husband was using 5 gallon buckets for his charcoal and smoke wood. They looked trashy. These buckets were the perfect solution. The third one holds the newspaper and matches he uses to start the grill.

These claims are just incorrect! LID STAYS IN PLACE - Snug and secure lid that stays in place, won’t fall off when can is knocked over KEEP PESTS AWAY - Keeps contents safe from rodent, pests, rust, odor My squirrels will easily knock the lid off the container and God help me if the can ever fell over when full of of bird seed. Well made but will return these.

These are well made and attractive buckets. However the description claimed that the lids were tight tying and would not come off when tipped and this is not my experience, the lids seat properly but just lift off and when tipped they will come loose as they are not a tight fit. Still a quality product and would buy again. They come with easy to install knob style lid handles but with the handles they are not stackable- that was not a claim made by the seller but included for info to potential buyers.
